has anyone else tried the Carolina Load?

I chronied the load today and it shot 2505 fps in my Savage Axis.. 22" barrel... and 2589 fps in my Savage FV 26" barrel

Alright, this officially needs to be moved to the correct forum. Tough to find.
On the other hand, the Secret Load's red headed step child (IMR 4831) chrono'd 2900 fps with 45 grains. I'll post the full 10 shot chronograph results tomorrow. Before I might forget, after the consecutive 10 shots in a 80° day, I was able to comfortably hold the barrel.

I was spitting out a bunch of numbers, so it was probably easy to miss. 28" barrel. Tomorrow I will be shooting three shots of each charge weight from 44.4 to 45.0 grains with the magneto attached. I'll be back with more info.
I'm confused... I thought the Carolina Load with 44.3 gr H4831SC was shooting one hole groups for you??????
It was, but I had this 8 lb. just of IMR that had never been opened in 10+ years. Needed to do something with it.

Looks like if the wind wouldnt have shifted you had good luck with the sighters. Put them on the target next time dont waste it!!

44.8 and some wind flags will get you the turkey if the atmospheric conditions let you repeat
No, I didn't note them.
These were all slightly into the lands and the first two were seated too far...that is about all I remember.I think you're right though. Try both weight charges again.
My only dilemma was this...
Snapped a picture of the lot number with my phone and headed to the LGS today. Luckily found another matching box. Getting moly coated now and more shooting this weekend!

Thanks to OP for starting this thread. It helped me on starting point with this powder even though RL16 shoots well too for me.
