Oh right. Looking at that has gotten so old. I’ll repeat my friend’s reaction to it: “Man you own an original Picasso”
Once my world settles down I’ll be posting pics of this masterpiece.

As always the photos don’t come close to doing the paint job justice. Brett did some sort of multi layer pearlescent magic. The colors faze in and out depending on light and angle. It’s crazy.

This was whittled out of a solid piece of curly maple, 10 coats of dye to create the rootbeer finish.
I believe this is the SOD in which your asking about, this stock belongs to @JBO.

Another Xring SOD cut from a solid slab of curly maple, also for @JBO.
I believe this stock was sold to another member that had to have it before rifle was ever completed.
2 coats of black dye followed by 3 coats of red dye, finished with a couple light coats of apple red candy.

Dan Muller's quilted maple SOD done in copper and vintage amber.
Look closely at the butt next to wifes index finger, you'll see a woman in a schrould.

This laminate was for Bob the former owner of Xring stocks.
Smoked candy faded into cobalt candy.

I like the ability to use different colors when working with maple to come up with very unique appearances.
Walnut i try to stick with dyes colors that are present in the wood.
