Who Makes the Strongest Single Stage Press?

Who makes the strongest single stage press? I'm looking to replace my RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme if there's one stronger. Recommendations? Thanks. :)

If the RCBS BIG MAX will do just about anything you want and not spring itself out of shape or break. REMEMBER, it's an RCBS product, if it breaks they will fix it. Whats not to like!

Perhaps the RCBS A2 , made of cast STEEL. I'd look at what bullet makers use ....or what presses are usable to load 50 BMG. I've seen RCBS Ammo-Masters used for this, never seen a Coax used....don't think they accept 1-1/2 " dies. Redding products have served me well and my vote would go to the Ultra-Mag, despite it's "C" design, it's massive.
Hi I purchased a redding big boss ll, it weighes about 19 pounds, it is massive, solid ,and can resize the big mag cartridges easily thanks mountainman 1

Would not have been needed if as you say if it was done properly.

The point is if you need this "strongest stage press", there is usually a problem in the procedure and using a very mmg strong press is just the brute force approach which is usually not the way to go.
Not always the case. I have an A4 and its great for
Forming anything up to cheytac size stuff, and sizing bmg variants. Forming up wild cats from bmg up to 25 mm required a press I made with a,1.625 ram. That press has a 42" lever arm.
Forming up anything smaller works fine in the rock chucker.

Lol
I was going to reply that huge press you have I saw on a video

That’s a beast of a press!

You're 100% on about the A-4 ! I own 4 of them and no there not for sale. Wish RCBS, would have keep making them.

Joe Salt
me too!
I think they stopped making them after only 4 0r 5 years in the mid 80's

What is surprising is the current prices on them. I bought the on the other side of the 600# steel table in the pic for 45$ at a gun show in the early 90's. LKast one I found for a customer a couple years ago ran 500.

Hi ,I just purchased a redding big boss ll and it Is a massive beast, weighes 19 pounds ,it is solid and no play in the ram to frame, it has good leverage for the big mag cartridges

In 20 years of reloading and seeing many friends presses and owning several of my own, I have never seen a broken press. I size 300rum ,7 rum and 338 lap, I have no idea what it takes to break a press. Mine is like the Energizer bunny.

Forming wildcats of cheytac and 50bmg certainly requires some force and appropriate tools but for just resizing common presses are quite good
Even my Lee has no issues with rum, Norma and lapua cases.

That was my point. Ive made 7 rum form 300 rum. 260s from 308sect ect. Have the quality of RCBS presses gone down that far????

Redding Ultra Mag. I don't do any case reshaping, but concentricity and accuracy are superb as long as you use Redding dies.
