Got one just like it, bought it new in the early 70s.....View attachment 1117469 If we’re still in doubt this old timer is the cats meow
I hated the way it progressed an unused primer into a cup to capture it rather then stay in the primer slide like a 550, 1050..caused extra time to process. Was advised against it by a DILLON Dealer-who is well. Known in competition handgun world. I was a DILLON Dealer for5 years myself and appreciated the advice. That said, if you like your 650, then don’t change as it’s still a damn good machine. DILLON runs 650 ads 4-1 over other machines and hence their big sales numbers...ImhoWhat issue(s) did you experience with the xl650’s rotary primer feeder? Mine has worked well for nearly 20 years...
PS Has the 650 been made for 20 years? Time sure goes by fast....
I've always used my grandpa's rockchucker 2. You'll have a hard time convincing me that anything will reload better ammo. Dies, not presses, make good ammo. Buy any press you like, then invest in good dies made to fit your chamber.
That is my only question and dislike of a turret press if there’s any deflection in the turret it just seems like it would definitely cause concentricity issues in your ammoI used an RCBS Jr for many years with no issues. Bought a T7 five years (or so) ago, and it has been flawless. The slight tipping is not a problem. Barlow
Experience surely helps and judging by the trophies I would not want to challenge you to a game of poolView attachment 1117469 If we’re still in doubt this old timer is the cats meow

What is a "good set of dies"? Ihave no idea what to look for.
It causes no concentricity issues whatsoever. BarlowThat is my only question and dislike of a turret press if there’s any deflection in the turret it just seems like it would definitely cause concentricity issues in your ammo
