problem with 6 BR and body die is, when the brass work hardens from the shoulder back towards the base you bump it back and it expands the shoulder[.460 dimension]I have a Whidden 6BRX full length bushing die. I also have several full custom dies of various calibers and the Whidden is as good as it gets. I do not work for John and have nothing to gain, but the quality and service is top drawer.
I hope this helps,
Lloyd
Hi Guys
is there much difference between the Whidden 6BRX vs their Custom dies besides the price,
are the custom dies that much better or will the other dies be just as good ??
or should i just use my 6BR dies and a 243 body die
man which way to go, its doing my head in
cheers

Stu go with either of the Whidden dies it will be better than your current 2 die set up..one pass and your brass is full length-ed and neck sized. Otherwise i would also highly recommend Harrell's, i have one for the 6BR and 6Dasher they are excellent quality and as close to a custom die as you can get of the shelf.Hi Guys
