Remove some material from the bottom of the die. Pretty common. While .080" off a dasher die should work, some start out a little too long so they end up a little too long.
I ordered 3x BRA Dies from Harrell’s, Comagutsas (OP) being one of them, the other two size perfectly but we are using RockChucker Presses.
Was quick and easy sizing the brass to where it needed to be, only thing we changed was the press...That has nothing to do with the die not sizing, His chamber made a little shorter, or the die maybe longer or the wrong die. You just cut a little off if it is long, no big deal.......... jim
So apparently it needs adjusted, .0005 is good in the same gun but I would guess it is in an other one. I would never go back to a rock chucker having a coax press I had an A2 it was head and shoulders better. than a rock chucker, it isn't the press. some small difference some where, or a little more than one place...... jimWas quick and easy sizing the brass to where it needed to be, only thing we changed was the press...
Chambers are cut with same reamer there’s .0005”difference in fired cases between them.

Can’t comment either way on the Co-Ax I’ve never used or owned one, but maybe I should if it’s better than a RC..So apparently it needs adjusted, .0005 is good in the same gun but I would guess it is in an other one. Speaking generally, Jim is right. Once the die and shell holder meet, there is no more that can be done, regardless of press brand or type. But, you probably hit the nail on the head about your shell holder vs his shell holder. Just trim some off of the bottom of the die...problem solved. This does seem to be a common issue with different dies and 6 BRA chambers. I've seen many threads on this topic and a 6 BRA. It can be a die, shell holder or chamber problem..or all of the above, too. But, if the die and shell holder meet, it's not a press problem. Can’t comment either way on the Co-Ax I’ve never used or owned one, but maybe I should if it’s better than a RC..
Just know Comagutsa bought his die and brass around and we sized his brass to where it needed to be on the RC following standard Die set up procedures, there are obviously some differences somewhere between the two set ups. My BRA Die is .0035” longer than Comagutsas and still sizes my brass fine in RC which brings me to the conclusion that the RC has some extra tollerences somewhere, I’d hazard a gues that it’s in the shell holder set up of the Co-Ax!!

I have 4 bra barrels and have been using the Harrels die with .080 off. I use a Redding D frame press. Over the past 5 or 6 years I have been using the Redding Competition shell holders (+.010 to +.002) to get the HS I want with all cases. With one of the bra barrels I have to use a thinned standard shell holder with a "HARD" cam over to get the HS right. I too agree that we should be taking between .085 and .090 off the bottom of the Harrels. I really like the Redding comp shell holders. You can use them with a Forester press with an adaptor. I have one also, but prefer to use the standard D frame press.I have had some Harrell's BRA dies sent to me for this issue. I measured the dies using a depth mic and HS gauge. They were spot on to what they should have been. I took off another .010" for the guys and it worked. So maybe ordering .090" off may be the way to go with the coax?

What is this, of which you speak?...and the little in-Fab auto shell kicker gives me an extra hand to resize my cases. and what i'm using is working so well, i fear change![]()
