Forster CO AX and 6BRA FL problems

What is this, of which you speak?

pretty simple gizmo.. but its sure nice for having an extra hand to kick the case while grabbing your next case. Another trick if you happen to point bullet, you can use this also for pointing bullets. However they do not make these for the Co-Ax press.

If you don't have enough adjustment shorten the die a little, not a big deal go about .010 at a time........... I use a coax press with no issues, but if you are coming down hard on the shell holder you will break something ....jim
Exactly what I was going to say after reading all these responses... Over camming your Co-Ax will just do damage eventually to the press and the shell plates.

Looks like i didnt post my fix .. I got 005 taken off die ,,so it was a Dasher die taken down to 080, but then had to take 005 off and it fixed the problem in the co ax.

@comagutsa you mentioned that your Dasher die was - .080 It caught my eye, that extra.005 makes all the difference I speck...
How much body reduction are you seeing?

Yeah it was a Dasher die and Harrells take off. 080 then I took another 005 off for a 085 total taken off and this gave me enough to size my headspace back 002-003 on my co-ax press with my 6BRA cases.. Can't remember what my 200 line was and how much it got sized as I stopped using the 6BRA a few years ago and went back to the 6BRX

When switching to a co-ax recently, I have found that in order to get consistent sizing, I must leave the case in the die a few seconds. (like 5 or more). If I leave it sit in the die at the end of stoke for a few seconds, I get amazingly consistent sizing. If I try to rush it, cases will be +/-.015.

it isn't a problem with the press it is a die thats too long or your chamber is short or both. It is a simple fix turn off the bottom of the die a little more half hour job... jim

Yeah the co-ax jaws are thicker than the shell holder on the rock chucked press ..that's all it was . So we took off 005 more and bit worked fine

I pulled mine and measured the difference between the coax and a regular shell holder and it maybe .002 difference given the tolerance on both, they are the same.... jim

I tried reforming .243 brass into SLR brass on my Forester Co-Ax and it wouldn't do the job, even with the die bottomed out. It isn't much, just changing the angle of the shoulder but the press kept flexing enough that brass wouldn't chamber. I had to move the dies over to the Rock Chucker to get the shoulder reshaped and the brass to where it would chamber. After the initial forming on the Rock Chucker the Co-Ax would resize just fine. To me, the Co-Ax just isn't as strong a press.
