Forster CO AX and 6BRA FL problems

I tried reforming .243 brass into SLR brass on my Forester Co-Ax and it wouldn't do the job, even with the die bottomed out. It isn't much, just changing the angle of the shoulder but the press kept flexing enough that brass wouldn't chamber. I had to move the dies over to the Rock Chucker to get the shoulder reshaped and the brass to where it would chamber. After the initial forming on the Rock Chucker the Co-Ax would resize just fine. To me, the Co-Ax just isn't as strong a press.

Funny that you say that, I never say this true, the RC. is now where near the press as an A2 and I could size a a .243 without the handle. A coax will crush a 30-06 case .... I sure did a lot of SLR forming on one, but didn't last long when it wasn't much better than a Dasher in velocity. Accuracy was not even in the the same zip code as the dasher at 3100.... jim

Can't say that I'm very impressed with the SLR either. Not velocity or accuracy.
