Yeah, don't that just chap your fanny. They take your money for all of your working life in addition to paying Medicare and Income taxes and when they offer to give it back, they give you just a dribble and they tax that income again if you are also withdrawing from a retirement account.

Today was the first day of my crews weekend rotation, received a couple of texts this morning telling me to come back but that’s not gonna work.....took the wife to Chattanooga to eat and knock around today. Monday I am watching the 2 year old grandson, probably be more tired after that than a day at work!

I got lucky, October 26th of 2008, the hard way. Agent Orange caused me to flunk my CDL test. Decades hauling US Mail. Now you know why mail delivery is so slow. Celebrated the best possible way; went to Zimbabwe December 6th for a 3 week Cape Buffalo (and last minute cull Tuskless Cow Elephant) hunt courtesy of "Uncle Bob" Mugabwe's Christmas Feast. Three cows, 12,000 attendees.

16 month old thread. Hope the OP is enjoying his retirement. Be nice if he could sound off on his retirement. I've been retired just over 7 years. IDK, I enjoyed the work I did so can't say I really was looking forward to retirement but it has its advantages for sure. Went back to PT LE work about 4 years after retiring. I missed it and enjoy it again only a day or two a week.
Work is for, People that, DON'T Know How to,... Fish, Hunt, Reload Ammo, Target Shoot, Play Pickle Ball with the G- kids and chase, the ole' Lady, around the House, a Bit.
Retired Folks have, 3 Saturdays, 3 Sundays and a Wednesday, to get a Haircut and Shop !
