For those thinking of moving here, this is a common occurrence. These vehicles are full of frozen corpses. Their next of kin will not be able to recover their remains until well into Spring. Don't move here!

I'm moving to Palm Springs.
This pic definitely not Idaho. only F 150 250 350, big rig chevys & the Occasional Ram 1500 up here.
nice try.

The scenery is beautiful but wait until the dreaded snow starts to fall. Being in Ct. all my life and now getting older I'm tired of it My new dream is warm all year.
The only thing I want to shovel that is white is sand from my patio back onto the beach.
Rent first.....wish I would have before my move to Myrtle Beach SC. in 2011......couldn't handle it.

Thanks CT10ring, while not trying you,(and others) have shown other members here some of the beauty of the west and this thread has shown us very good insight of our member base. Yes 50-60 years of brainwashing by liberals has and will continue to take it's toll on our nation. Some of the people who move to the country will in time learn to adjust to country life, ... some simply won't and for one reason or another will move back to an area like they came from.

In this area here we do our best to be good to those that are trying to make that adjustment, and to be honest all the small towns i have worked or lived in over many years has had those who won't accept you just because you weren't born there. That's life, you just go about doing the things you need/want to do and deal with the others in town who don't have their head up their, ... .

There are many places in our nation that are still wonderful to live in, however if you have to look at a chart as to where they are, ... well those charts are made by people who live in the city. If you need all the big city things to make your life complete, just move to a different subdivision and be done with it. Moving from the city to the country will be one of your life's biggest changes you will ever make. Make sure it's really what you want to do or be prepared to move back to where you came from. You will find that most people in the country will help you make the change, just be prepared to learn a lot about life that city living never taught you.

And does that idyllic life have a price tag in the way of gasoline? While gasoline in Montana last summer was $3.39, I stepped across into Idaho and the BEST price was $4.49. Just saying.

Gas prices vary widely in Idaho, as in most states. In October regular unleaded was $2.90 in Lewiston, ID.

Today the cheapest gas in Missoula (the closest MT town to Lewiston, both on US-12) is $3.39 while in Lewston it's $3.12.

The beloved Salmon River Breaks.
More than one pair of White’s needed a trip to Spokane after a long hitch in that country. Never been there as a tourist, I bet its pretty when the sky’s are blue.
