Watch your Credit Cards

Use Privacy.com for online vendors/purchases. Single use "burner" cards and vendor specific cards with monthly limits or transactions size limits for online subscriptions. Quit trusting online vendors with your credit cards and personal info.
Yeah. Trust Privacy.com instead.

Seriously, I see the merits of that, and will look into it. But the integrity of Privacy.com is an unknown coefficient at this juncture, TBD.

This is Privacy.com's business model. They have information security staff and experts. Small business don't (includes medium business). These small companies cannot keep up in the digital world. It's not their focus or specialty. I witness this bad information storage, security and privacy practices everyday at work. It is not getting any safer out there in "cyberspace".

Most common place to get your CC compromised is at the gas station/convenience store. if you card can tap instead of swipe that is the best way to make a purchase, tap provides one time code for that transaction at the time no card skimming.
This is incorrect. Skimming does happen, but data breach is far more common. Why steal one CC when you can steal 100k from the comfort of your home. Chip+Pin does the same with "Single-Use" authorizations. Use either and cover the pin-pad with your hand if you enter your pin. Also inspect the card scanners to make sure it has not been tampered with.

Remember even if you can get your money back, someone pays that money. Often the thieves still keep their loot and it ends up costing us all in the long run.

Be safe and smart out there.

Only issue I've had was when CC Co. notified me that "someone" was trying to use my card on the OTHER side of the country. They shut them down after 4 or 5 tries.
TV took a dump. Wally World had a BIG selection so EARLY the next morning headed to WW for a new TV. Made my choice but CC was denied. HUH???
Got home and saw notice from CC Co. that someone was trying to use MY credit card. IT WAS ME DUMMY!!! Had another card so got my new TV and headed home. ;)
