USPS Delivery Issues and Delays

Reckon those USPS workers are whispering among themselves. The deliveries for US Priority Mail has no priority and is getting slower and slower. Maybe help has arrived.

It is very sad but, let's face it the internet and E mail has replaced the USPS. Our government doesn't even use our mail service to communicate. they send emails and mail is free to them but, they want us to spend over $.70 to mail a letter. Talk about speaking out of both sides of your mouth.

Most of our mail has to go through Kansas City Ks or Kansas City Mo, best I can figure both of them are a complete and total circle jerk.

I doubt few addresses are read by human eyes, all done with barcodes and auto readers. USPS handles most of the "out of the way" parcels for UPS and FedX. USPS has to go to every house in every town 6 days a week. Probably 90% of letter mail is "bulk rate". USPS has been into WOKE and DEI for 30 years. I'll bet fewer than 10% of management has ever carried a bag, worked a counter, or sorted a letter. Mail carriers are all tracked, to the minute, by GPS. I think about the times I stopped to help a farmer hook a wagon to a bailer or help get the cows back in the pasture or stopped to call the police because I saw something strange or that didn't belong. You would get fired for that now!

Remember milkmen, cops walking a beat? Mail deliver will go the same way! Ben Franklin set the Post Office up as a SERVCE. It was never expected to make a profit or even break even.

I ordered some brass from Diamond K a few years ago that took a similar detour through Barrigada before arriving in eastern WA. The hilarious part, if you can call it that, was I spent 6mos in Guam '80 - '81 and our team was billeted at the Barrigada transmitter site due to no billeting available at Anderson AFB.

I have used the post office in business for decades--never any issues--flat rate boxes were a deal and even better when UPS starting gouging
The post office was never meant to make a profit--just like you don't expect the Army or Park service etc to make a profit--it is a must for a country to prosper and grow thought Ben Franklin and others when it was conceived--and it was and still is.
From my view the post started down hill fast when it was buggered with to slow down mail in ballots--before all that I never had issues I am good pals with a gentleman in the post office that has had a life long career with them--he said the same thing more or less
Today I use them as little as possible--they are horrible.

Ordered parts from Numerich shipped Feb 18 to be delivered to Falls City Texas. After a brief detour to Del Rio Texas, is now out for delivery here, eight days not counting Sunday. Sent PRIORITY. I hope I'm not just getting an empty package as the parts are small. I will advise. Help me out and keep your fingers crossed.

Check came priority mail from a customer, 26 days, Indiana to Iowa. Scope took 2 days to get to customer.

If you've seen the cheap stamps advertised on the internet I was told by a guy at the USPS that they are fake and printed offshore. Good fakes too. Half price I think. So WTF is going on with our country not pursuing this illegal operation? It's like counterfeit money, and is costing the USPS lots of money.

This just SUCKS!!!!!!! This was supposed to come to me in North Alabama from near Knoxville TN. 7 calendar days since last tracking info was posted. People should lose their jobs for this kind of crap

USPS has been fairly good to until this thread started.
A set of dies I need are hung up in the parcel.

Added; I can see through the tracking APP my package is idle, my question is how to get it moving again ?

Somehow, without ever being scanned after my parcel returned to the state of AL it was miraculously delivered Saturday.

Interesting thread. I priority mailed a rifle stock from eastern PA to Kentucky, took over two weeks. Priority mailed a barrel from the same post office, took over a week to get to North Dakota. Other P.O.s with hundreds of other priority mailings, not one problem, two to four days. IMHO, the majority of post office workers and post offices managers are conscientious. Some are just plain slackers.
