USPS Delivery Woes -- Tracking History

I don't know what is going with them. I subscribed to their Informed delivery service where I get emails on mail to be delivered for that day even has pictures of the incoming mail.
had an order from Wolff springs out for delivery on 1-22, never showed up and status was delivery attempt, hold at post office by customer request, what BS I had 3 days mail show up 5-days past the delivery dates and only after contacting USPS. the biggest BS the box from Wolff had written hold for safety on the box!

Just signed up this morning for Delivery/Tracking Information/Notice from the PO. That should be REAL GOOD once they see the tracking info!! (not that it will make any real difference.
Also checked "tracking" and all I got was "Not available at this time"!! DUH???

Bought a muzzle brake on the 20th from a guy in Monument CO. Shipped on the 22nd ( I live in KS) . USPS listed date of delivery was the 26th, yesterday. Last known USPS facility that had the item was in Las Vegas. I checked on a map of the USA and Las Vegas isn't where it should have wound up. Listed today as in route to next destination, where ever that might be.
Addendum : The item left LV on the 25th. It's disappeared into the ether!

Nope. I checked with them (Duke Power) and they stopped waiving late fees.

I can beat all those. My local PO didn't SCAN THEM IN... $1600 worth of my product... JUST FLOATING IN SPACE, and I can't track it because they did not scan it. I can't file a missing package, because they didn't scan it. It simply appears as though I never shipped it... Three packages. $1600.

ALWAYS have them scan and give you a receipt. ALWAYS.

Sorry you are probably out a chunk of money.

I’ve got a stupid expensive box in Springfield Mo that hasn’t been scanned in weeks and they keep telling me to call back next week. Im beyond ticked and still have several box’s MIA other than the expensive one.

Just yesterday I had the mail lady leave 3 box’s at the door for an address in another state. Paris Arkansas Instead of Texas. Their all morons,, to bad the box’s didn't have a gun or outdoor supplier name on the box or I’d been tempted to keep them as payment for my aggravation..

had one around xmas that took 3 weeks. --got a couple things packed in flat rate boxes i was gonna send today. i dunno though been thinking about all the problems lately and just read this thread. in our little town checked yesterday at the ma and pa UPS dropoff (not ups store) and the one box was double the money of PO flat rate. its a long drive to the fedex or ups hubs. fedex told me they would pickup at my house. i dont wanna leave stuff lay at the door. this stuff has motivated me to checkout the other shippers for sure -

USPS tracking worked for me earlier this week. Showed the arrival date, then it showed delayed. The next day this is what was in my rural mailbox. Sticking out with the door to the mail box open (because the package would not fit) and the rest of my mail in there. It was snowing.



I think they stuffed it in the mailbox and ran like hell. Too afraid to bring it to the door. It was a barrel. Fortunately the barrel was OK as it was shorter than the box.

I'm trying to buy one of those 40X Remington actions that were for sale in the classifieds a few weeks ago. I mailed a USPS money order and an FFL copy 3 weeks ago today. The post office won't even talk to me about it until its been AWOL for 30 days. I've stayed in contact with the seller and he seems to understand. I have stayed in touch with him but I'm getting embarrassed about the delays from my end.

Christmas before last several people in our small town had Christmas cards come up missing. Anything that looked like it might have contained money.

I've tried to be supportive of the post office but they sure make it hard!

Good news - kinda.
The two packages I shipped on 12/7 arrived yesterday. The good news part is that they went through distribution hubs in NJ where I'm told there were mountains of packages waiting to be processed. Kudos for not losing the packages in the midst of the chaos.

I sold a very nice custom Rem 700 via my FFL to a very patient gentleman on this forum. Shipped Dec 10, showed left the hub Dec 14th and has been vaporware ever since. Filed a claim because you only have 60 days from shipment to do so. Sure hope it shows. More because it is a really great shooting rifle and want the buyer to have a chance to find out for himself. I offered to give him his money back but he's holding out so far. Last time I ever ship a firearm using the Postal Service.

The Pardini made it into the hands of the new owner today ! He sent me pictures, the box really doesn’t look much different then when I dropped it off at my local post office, 14 days ago.

USPS is the worse, They have misplaced so many of my checks and packages. Calling their customer care is useless because they will give you the runaround for weeks and then nothing.

I used FedEx now, Never had any issues with the...I have had same experience with USPS. Package nowhere to be found....Disappear without a trace.

SURPRISE SURPRISE!!! Package FINALLY got delivered to Farmington, MN on Monday morning. Daughter mentioned that the package went from San Francisco to St, Paul more than she had!!
We'll NEVER know what the mix up was but at least it got there. Good thing it wasn't an emergency or time sensitive.

The sad part is mis-directing a package, or having it bounce between POs multiple times, just exacerbates their package overload issue. They now have to touch/redirect a package multiple times, taking up more time/space/resources, than if they just did it right the first time.
