Turn Your FX-120i into a Prometheus

The new trickler will not require lubrication and will be really nice. If you can wait 4 weeks then holding off would not be a bad idea.
Adam are we able to upgrade with the original trickler, or do we have to purchase a completely new unit again?

There's a lot interest being generated in the UK now.

There will be an upgrade for sure. Just the minimal components to replace the trickler.

Adam, will the new trickler have a longer spout? I'd like to get the tray off of the edge of the pan. I received my Sartorius scale yesterday and I'm holding off until you release the "new" trickler. Thanks.

Yes it will. It measures 6" from the opposite side of the trickler. We got as much as we could out of a 6" tube.

Before I ordered Adam's creation I asked him whether something similar might be forthcoming for my DI MMX123. He convinced me it wouldn't really be worth the effort due mostly to not being suitable for a trickler to be driven by slower responding units.

He's targeted a couple of current products that are priced to our market; if one desires benefit of his automating technology, one has to accept the cost of ownership being (roughly) that of taking up a non-standard cartridge - with the scale the greatest expense.

Adam, are you going to be making a version to work with the Gem Pro 250?

Like jlow said it can't work due to no communication port. However, you can get decently fast with a GemPro or other scale that accurately weighs to the kernel using a revised kernel counting technique rather than a "trickling" approach. I'm currently able to charge 50 cases in 18 minutes, accurate to within .02 gr. Drop me a PM if you want specifics or I can start a new thread and not derail this one.

Sorry, I must have missed that post, thanks Dave

Is new motor stand required for mounting? Can you show mounting method?

The new mount has a flat top and there are three threaded screw holes in the bottom of the flat bottom trickler. This ensures it is installed straight. The upgrade kit includes the mount and trickler already screwed together. You just put your motor into the new mount. The tube ends up at the same height.

I ordered the trickler update, thanks Adam. I'm looking forward to see if the fully automated can get accomplished at a compact size and affordable price.
