Trying to get these Sierra 69gr TMKs to shoot

Loaded these bullet 015 and 007 and touching lands with 40.7 grs of Superformance in 22/250(New Nosler Brass). They shot terrible )-: Sierra manual says IMR 4350 was their accuracy load. So why did I burn Superformance ? It was the fastest

What is the rifle twist rate? You may not have enough twist in a standard 22-250 twist (which is usually 1:12) to stablize this weight of bullet. A phone call to Sierra asking what twist is needed to stablize their bullet will confirm this.

8" Brux 26" length

Ok, then what is your brass telling you? Are there any pressure signs? Have you tried any other charge weights other than what you listed? You make quite a jump between the three lengths that you list, your guns sweet spot might be between those. Reloading isn't a fixed recipe, you have to massage your load to the rifle...gently. There are many threads on this forum on how to work up a load...patiently. No one recipe works in every gun.

No pressure signs Yes I once before on a super windy day did work up to this charge. This charge looked like it had potential. I'm going to try H4530 and H414 next.

When you say, "had potentional" what was the group size? Try using the same powder charge, but vary your seating depth by .003 increments starting at touching the lands back to .020 off the lands. I would be willing to bet you find where the group tightens then opens up again along the way. Are you using a chronograph? If so, what is your standard deviation?

34 grains of varget if i remember correctly shoots these very well in my 9 twist savage. Between 3 and 4 inch 5 shot groups at 600 if i do my part. ED K

I use those in my 22-250 with IMR 4166, get sub-moa groups out to 650, range maximum. Not using a full load. I seat .012 into the lands.

33grs of varget, rem brass, cci 200, shot less than .250" at 100 for me.. multiple times,3 shot groups. worked well at 600 also. But doesn't kill very well, so I changed to a 55 bst at 3850 and couldn't be happier. this in a 25" 9 twist barrel

My 22-250 9 twist Savage shot 41 gr Superformance powder behind a 75 gr Hornady HP pretty good. 3" +/- @ 600 yards. I used magnum primers to get best accuracy. REMINGTON 9 1/2 M

Went out today with two powder load combos . IMR4166 and H4350 With H4350 35grs produced .650 5 shots compared to Superformance, this was promising 36.0 of same powder was .477 happy about that. But then I tried IMR 4166 30.5grs and I got a 3 shot 1/2 group then 31.5 produced .450 3 shot group hey I'm liking this . Next up was 32.5grs of 4166 and it produced a 4 shot .312 group best ever out of this rifle . I was considering doing my happy dance. But wait last powder charge combo was a maz charge of 4166 33.3 grs 4 shot Group opened up to little over 1 MOA. So guess I found my load, what a difference a change of powders make .

I found that I had to seat the 69 TMK much deeper than the 69 SMK to get them to shoot as well. Don't have my data book handy for specifics, but I was frustrated as well, until I started going south with the seater.

Deeper in the case or deeper in the Lands ?
I'm .020 away from lands .
