Had a guy here once with a front guard on his pickup that would rival the cow catcher on a locomotive. He called it everybody's dream killer. I never asked him for a body count. My customer/friend just got #23 with a Chevy P/U, 7 with a Harley...he hates deer...#22 with the Harley laid him up for a while..
I’ve got a 250-3000 in a model 99. It’s a great deer cartridge and a real thumper in its day.

I'm just curious, is there any difference in performance with the Pro Hunters vs the Gamekings?7mm-08 with 140 Sierra Pro Hunters, 25-06 with 117 Sierra Pro Hunters, that’s basically all I am using now for out to 300. I’d add the 444 marlin with 300 beartooth WFN’s for woods hunting.
What are you three favorite deer cartridges, you can even choose your bullet for out to 300 yards?
F-250 Crew Cab Diesel for me. Fork horn, DRT - about 1.4 million ft lbs of energy did the trick.I've had good luck with a Chevy Cavalier and a Malibu, one doe and a nice 12 pt.
I'm a big .270 win fan BUT on this forum, I think you'd see it more in the hunting forum than any other place. Not much for bullets in LR shooting for the .277 and many other better choices. Great hunting cartridge and accurate as well.Only need one and it’s the 270. I am surprised at the number of 270s listed. It’s not one of the more common I’ve seen in the various hunting camps.
Come on. There not cousins. The 6.5 Creedmoor is the illegitimate son of the 6.5 Grendel. Not the same blood. The 260 is in a class of it's own. I look at the 6.5 Creedmoor more as a step kid. The red headed type.It will do very well. I've shot quite a few with a 260 Rem, the uncool cousin of the 6.5 Creedmoor.
Wish I could say he lives right but that would be a lie..How does anyone survive a deer collision on a Harley, let alone 7?
Had a 750 lb. Buckstop on my '99 diesel Ram, never had to use it as I think the deer just knew..Had a guy here once with a front guard on his pickup that would rival the cow catcher on a locomotive. He called it everybody's dream killer. I never asked him for a body count.
