Thoughts on the northland shooters and Bat partnership?

My LGS charges $100.00 to use there FFL. I'm having a new action shipped to them. $100.00 plus $25.00 for the Backround check. I won't be shipping that action out anywhere else EVER! I love my nuts. What was this thread about?
Where do you live? Have you googled FFL's in your area? When I lived in the PRC, I paid only $25.00 for the transfer fee.

Where I live near Sacramento I've found a few that do it for $35 but most charge $50-$75. That does not include the DROS fee of $25

I really not complaining. Just saying he gets $100. PRC People's Republic of China? 25 dollars or yen?

$15-25 where I live. Probably a half dozen ffls with 15 minutes from me. Guess I’m lucky. It’s a trade off for not being able to have my own personal range in my backyard.

Truthfully I never thought it. Or if we're even possible. Interesting.

I know several FFL's that charge $75 or more for a transfer purchased elsewhere but if purchased from/through therm it's $25-$35. That's probably what's going on here. The FFL is hammering you because you bought it elsewhere.

Most ffls do free paperwork if you buy thru them. Not sure when all this paperwork fee came in but that should be part of the profit you get for selling something. Guys i know that do a lot of transfers and selling also dont charge if you at least buy something from them every once in a while. Getting in a ton of guns from gunbroker or buds and not getting a profit does wear on folks in this day of internet ordering i imagine.

My gun smith has an FFL so I tell him want I'm looking for and bam!

Mom and Pops
gun shops/ smith aren't rich people some scrape bye so you can't blame people for making a living.
I give all I can just buying though them, pay a little profit get things inspected and ensure funds are appropriated correctly.
I wouldn't want to be a mom and pop gunshop today. Way too hard to compete with the internet. The only ffls in my town focus on their pawn and payday loan business and make most of their gun money selling used guns they took in on pawn for pennies on the dollar. They know new stuff doesn't move fast if it's priced where they make enough profit to do well on it.
