Tack Driver 7

That’s right down the street from where we will be.
EDIT: Just found Dublin Farms, just a room with a bathroom, all I need. I'm going to book there.

Is there another AIRBNB close by? That is what I'm looking for. If I can get one that has 2 bedrooms I may try to split cost with someone else.
Thanks

Just make sure to call them about your dinner plans so they don’t get food ahead of time I called to make sure I didn’t get charged for it costs 65 a plate for dinner and 15 for breakfast but breakfast doesn’t start until 8am

There was a time when 12-hour days on the road didn't seem that bad. Today, they seem bad. So it is that we meander along, often eschewing the interstates. A seven or eight-hour day is about right. I have driven to Palm Bay, Florida in four days, but I've also taken ten. For TD7, Polly, the Airedale, will probably be staying with family in Alberta. This makes it possible to do things a little differently. Weather often determines our route, as does our choice of vehicle.
In other Tack Driver related news, I have put together a rifle specifically for the fun shoot, if it works out. It is also a mid-sized thirty caliber but not a 308. The main rifle is a 308. Both barrels are pre-1980 offerings.
One thing I learned from TD6; any stories told around the campfire must be 100% factual. Luckily, I've had many experiences. If I have to, I'm sure I can tell some of these without straying too far from the truth. I have some hunting and fishing stories which I have recounted enough that they SEEM true.
One other thing, which was mentioned by Mr. Cline, was his disappointment in our ability to tuck away the groceries. To this end, I'm not sure if it is better to starve myself down or practice overeating so as to be in peak eating form. Perhaps a little more weight would help at the bench as well. Currently at 180, I can balloon up to 205 if I have to. I don't think most people understand just how much prep is involved for something like the Tack Driver, apart from the shooting (obviously not my strong point anyway). WH

Pretty cool that the "Hammer" Dick Powers was high-lighting an Old Dominion Custom Rifles shirt while accepting his award. Way to go Dick Powers and Zack Donovant for jobs well done.
