Tack Driver 5 live results

WOW what a weekend!!!!! I had been looking forward to this match all year. Then Hurricane Helene hit and I got called out to Florida and then NC to restore power. After 2 weeks of working storm restoration I was about to call Jim and let him know I wasn't going to be able to attend due to work. Then I got the word I was released to come home. I got home did a bit of tuning, loaded up the car and headed to Orangeburg. This was my first time to the Tack Driver and mid Carolina gun club. What a range!!! From the crazy wind conditions to the unforgiving mirage , this made for a very interesting match to say the least. What a honor it was to meet and shoot with some of the greatest shooters ever over the weekend. The amount of knowledge and skill at this match is unbelievable. I want to thank Jim Cline and all the crew that ran a very smooth and organized match. I asked Jim how fast the relays would go and he said F*****g fast and boy he wasn't lying. They had it together. I also want to thank all the sponsors for all they do to make this match so great. Big shout out to my gun smith Zack Donovant (ODCR) for everything he does and the time and effort he put into building this rifle. Zacks a great gunsmith and a even greater person. Thanks WSMNUT . And I can't forget about Bart Sauters hammers those bad boys lived up to there name over the weekend. They absolutely HAMMERED!!!! Big thank you to all the guys that keep supporting me through the match and my wife for the support and putting up with me and my shooting obsession . Congratulations to all the winners of Tack Driver 5. Can't wait until next year see you at Tack Driver 6!!!!

@jcline did a great job running the match, excellent! Target crew worked tirelessly as did the gentleman calling the matches, the food was better than delicious and plentiful! Was nice to meet so many of you and sorry that I missed some. @jackieschmidt is a hoot! Only thing I want to know is how the heck were some of you guys able to see the last 2 targets of the first and second days???? I want to know who your optometrist is! I tried backing down my scope but didn't help, so what is the secret? Oh, it's a secret LOL Congrats to the winners!

Jim, Tammy, Hunter, sponsors and everyone else that helped out with this match…..Thank you! Your time, money and effort is appreciated more than I can ever express.

What a great match! Thanks again everyone, congrats @Owens85 on your VERY impressive performance this weekend.

Wow what a weekend. I would like to take a minute to thank all the sponsors again for making this match possible. This match requires a lot of time and planning to get everything lined up to try and run as smooth of a match as possible. I could not do this without my wife and son’s help. They come in and know exactly what their roles are in the execution of the match and make it look somewhat effortless. Most of all I want to thank the competitors, without you there wouldn’t be a “Tack Driver” event. Your trust in me to deliver an excellent match where all shooters come together as one is very much appreciated. I WILL continue to challenge you to become a better shooter and truly believe Orangeburg is the HARDEST range to dominate in the country! Until next time, I wish you all a wonderful year and hope to see you all in Orangeburg next October for “The match that started it all” Thanks JC

Wow. Pretty basic stuff in the ever changing world of extreme accuracy.
A well thought out choice of components, good Gunsmithing, and of course, a great shooter.
Well Done!! You now have an entire year to relish in your victory.

See you next year.

I would like to thank Jim and Tammy for all the hard work they did to make this event run smoothly. target crew was spot on, food was spot on, set up couldn't have been better with as many competing, I just wish they could have done something about the conditions, lol.. it was an amazing time, and humbling as well. Finally being able to meet people I've talked with on the phone for months. Meeting and talking to some really good group of people. I've competed in bass fishing on high levels, competed in golf and none compares to the group of people that come out to shoot at these events, been in this game for just over a year and this weekend was a testament to the kind of people that are in this sport. can't wait till next year. To everyone that attend it was a pleasure to shoot with you guys this weekend and from the last past year.

Congratulations Jason on some fine shooting through those conditions!!!

Thank you to Mr. Cline and crew for a well ran match, this was my first trip to Orangeburg and the mirage was brutal… The food was awesome and I’m looking forward to next year.

Congratulations to Jason! He persevered through some very tricky conditions. Great shooting sir. My hat is off to you.

I also want to mention Hugh Williamson who came in first in score and Derick Loflin who finished first in group. Great shooting gentlemen.

Jim Cline worked his butt off and made this whole event what it really is. Without him none of this would be possible, so we all end up as winners in the end. Thank you Jim.
