Tack Driver 7

Oh hell, I'll just say it......"If it ain't broke, don't fix it", or are you just
devious by nature ??.....LOL I do like the Logo Idea.

i still have that threat you made about using a rimfire target rattling
around in my head, for the Thursday match. Now thinking out loud......
Would you entertain using a 100 yard UBR target for that match......
It would give ya' shivers where you would'nt want shivers.....LOL

It is almost a direct duplicate of a 200 yard score target with added features. The target will show Tack Driver target across the top and National Target company only. On this target the ring dimensions remained the same.
Jim if you are definitely ‘touching’ the 200y score target for next year, could it be possible to unclutter the sighter area somehow? I am thinking maybe removing either one or the two thick outer bands. That will open up the sighting real state area.

There could potentially be a “bonus opportunity” placed out there in a conspicuous location that would make it a very hard decision to try to hit. Like a bonus point or a 0 or a 5. Still tossing that around in my ideas too.
Jim, several years back we shot 400 yard “clay break” matches at Walker County, eight 2” clay disc glued to a sheet. After the sight in, you were only allowed eight rounds. There were also two aspirin tablets glued on each side. They were worth 5 points each.

A shooter could take a chance on the aspirin tablets, or not. Most didn’t unless it was a do or die situation.

I agree. At shorter ranges, the two extra sighters can be a help, but out at 300 meters, it simply looks cluttered, especially in conditions with that Orangeburg Mirage.

Or at least to me it does.

Here is a slight little sneak peak of what’s in store for Tack Driver 7. You will now be shooting “Official Tack Driver” targets. They are specially designed for just this match! Here is a sample of what you could possibly see at next year’s event. Shoot small and keep them in the middle!
If it ain’t broke…

I've often thought about a shoot / target similar to a KYL target where there are circles that are based on the round used. Add say .050 to the diameter and if you keep your impact inside it's worth bonus points.... so a .224 user would get a .274 circle they must keep impact inside... a .243 user, .293 and so on. Would need to be pretty thick paper.

I, for one, look forward to seeing whatever the devious mind of the director might come up with. I will try to avoid operating under the premise that I paid for the whole target and I'm going to use it!
My mantra, to be intoned every morning for the next 49 weeks, will be "Aim for the middle and keep 'em little". Positive thinking, that's the key. WH

There will be some exciting news announcements coming in the next few months on this event. I will also be sending out a confirmation email to everyone that is currently registered and in the field of the 140 shooters. THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT AND COMPLETELY FULL AT 140 SHOOTERS. If you are interested in being added to the waiting list, please send me a PM on here and I will happily add you to the list. Thanks Jim Cline
