Looks like a 6.8spc long necked to 22. Almost like a 22 DTEC
More like a 6 Hagar necked down.

204 Ruger is 33.0Case capacity = approximately 36 grains water.
4 REAL I READ ABOUT THOSE YRS BACK NOW THAT SOMETHING ELSEStacy,
I got one. What would you like to know. The only bullets that would stay together consistently over 4800fps are the Nosler 64gr Solid base bullets. We got them at least to 5400fps before the barrel went smoothbore around 120 rounds.
Not even close to the 26/28 Nosler.A few more approximate capacities for comparison:
223 Rem = 28.9 gns.
222 Rem Mag = 30.3 gns.
223 Ackley = 30.9 gns.
5.56 X 50 Mag = 31.6 gns.
22 PPC = 33 gns.
22 Nosler = 36 gns.
225 Win = 38 gns.
22 BR = 38.5 gns.
22-250 = 44.4 gns.
So much for your secrecyWell as for this one, I'm sworn to secrecy, but so far all the guesses posted are far off base as to the new offering. As I absolutely can't tell you all what it is, you'll have to wait for the SHOT show. But friends, you will not be disappointed, that I promise.![]()
So what factory rifle has a bolt that will fit this case? Looks like a proprietary AR round to me. No joy for us single shot bolt guys. dedogs22 NOSLER
Has everyone here forgotten the first Nosler was a 26cal? So its probably a 26nosler necked down to 22I CANT IMAGINE A 28 NOSLER CASE NECKED DOWN TO .224 TALKING ABOUT A BARREL BURNER !!!![]()
Look at the reamer drawing.Has everyone here forgoten the first Nosler was a 26cal? So it probably a 26nosler necked down to 22
The 26 28 30 and now 33 Noslers are all magnum cases.Look at the reamer drawing.
The 22 NOSLER is not a necked down 26 NOSLER case.Has everyone here forgotten the first Nosler was a 26cal? So its probably a 26nosler necked down to 22
