20 nosler

I do believe you can get the higher velocity with a longer barrel, you can use a little slower powder. And that would allow you to push them a little easier.
Just a Interesting piece of info I built a benchrest rig in the 20 br with a 30 inch barrel. I use reloader 15 with 55 gr Berger's. In summer weather it shoots 3840 with my load. And it can go hotter but not much before I get pressure signs. My 26 in barrel on a different rifle peaks out at 3700 but my load is 3650.

If/When Nosler releases a .20 Nosler I see a heavy bullet option (50+ grains) as not only a very desirable thing, but really it's the logical route for Nosler to take.

The .204 is already a screamer and simply making 32 thru 40 grainers go even faster wouldn't be a huge draw. Velocity figures pushing beyond the 4,300 FPS range will likely scare many people off due to barrel wear concerns.

In contrast: combine the additional boiler room capacity with a tipped 50 or 55 grain bullet and now you have a truly revolutionary factory offering which would immediately separate itself from the .204 Ruger. If such a factory cartridge does see daylight it'll be a game-changer.

I sure hope Nosler kicks it in gear on making the 20 Nosler come to life because looking at the reamer specs for both the 22 Nosler and the 20 Nosler, I'd say there is no reasonable way you're going to make 20 Nosler brass from 22 Nosler brass.

I'm assuming the 20 Nosler will indeed come to life considering Dave Kiff w/PT&G already has a 20 Nosler reamer available for purchase but without brass, what good is the reamer.

The 22 Nosler doesn't interest me at all but the 20 Nosler definitely has me interested.

I can't wait. Plenty of hot .20 wildcat options for bolt guns, but 204 Ruger and 20 Practical don't interest me for AR15 Varmint. This should be a dream come true. A hot .20 designed to feed smoothly in AR platform, bring it on. I asked Whitley (AR15.COM) about 20 Grendal a couple years back, he said it would not feed.
