Drawing looks like a 6.8SPC with a rebated rim.
NOW THAT MAKES MORE SENSE !The 22 NOSLER is not a necked down 26 NOSLER case.
The case is shorter than the 6.5x47 LAPUA. Internal volume is less than the 22 BR case.
22 NOSLER brass= .55 cents per piece.
26 NOSLER brass= $2.64 per piece.
What does it do that a 22-250 doesn't?
.378 #10 Redding shell holder per Redding.Anybody been able to figure out what primer (small/large) and what bolt-face? dedogs
Sounds about like a 223 improved. Great little roundAfter seeing the Nosler adverstisment looks like I already have a 22 Nosler.
I just called it something else. Mine is an AR chambered for a 6.8 SPC case necked to .22 with a 30 degree improved shoulder AKA 22 DTI.
I run 75Gr AMax about 3050fps from a 22 inch barrel.
If the drawing is correct, the shoulder and web dimensions are the same as the SPC case. If the Redding shell holder list is correct it's for a .223 size. So based on those numbers I'd guess it's Nosler trying to force folks to buy their brass to get Nosler's version of a .22x6.8 or .22 DTI.Looking at that drawing it's not a rebated rim so squeezing a .425 case head into a #10? What reason or advantage would be gained by going with it other than using it in an AR platform.
Fit in an AR15 mag?What does it do that a 22-250 doesn't?
