Slight rant!

If you buy or "given" something from a member, remember "communication" is #1. If you can't bother to say "I got it", don't bother to ask for it!
Nothing winds my clock more than someone that wants something NOW, you go out of your way to help them out and they can't be bothered to let you know "they got it".
Not looking for atta boys, just looking for a little communications saying they got it. It would be real nice to know they got it in good order. An I got it and THANK YOU is enough. Rant off. ;)

Guess the old saying " no good deed goes unpunished" applies in some of these situations. I just thought it only happens to me...... :P

Dave:
That's enough to wind just about anybody's clock. I've got one Guy in mind but I won't mention his name. Happened twice with the same person. Wanted something NOW so I sent it. Never heard any more about it. Come to find out he wanted it NOW, he got it and it sat for almost a week before he checked it out. >:( That's the last time for me. Maybe if he reads this he might get the message? ;)

And all this time I thought it was just me getting wound up over nothing? Glad to see I'am not the Lone Ranger. ;D

I know that for a while I had a bug, malware, that was sending my pm's and e-mail to my sent item folder only. It was when I had my brother on the phone and sent him a mail while talking and found out they were going nowhere!!! Malwarebytes corrected the problem.Tom

I must agree whole-heartedly with your rant! had several items out there and never heard back. even with tracking it would be nice to know these people are considerate enough to let you know they received the item and if the item met their expectations.

I never had that issue in the past but it seems now we have a flood of new members that dont have the same considerations that most of the older members have.

And Dave mentioned Priority Mail? We're not talking a bunch of $$ here. Can't hardly buy a cup of coffee for that amount of $$ so that's not the problem.
It's people not being considerate enough to follow through. Too much of the "Me First" syndrome? Like *#$^# you and huray for me?
Tracking tells me "they got it". They just can't be bothered to let "me" know. That's enough to Piss Off The Pope! And I thought I was done ranting? :-[
The one person I had in mind is always busy posting and isn't a "youngster" either. But I get exactly what you mean by "newer" members. ;)

Just pulled a 30br die out of the mailbox and promptly sent an "I got it" reply and a Thank you!

common courtesy? I use to remember something like that but it's been so long..... :(
And I remember when a Man's word was worth something, as well as a handshake meaning something.

I have had more than one buyer ask for a picture , this is fine. Then could you take a picture from the other side ,then a picture from the bottom.
I wait, NO reply.
I contact them! Oh just want to what it was.
Don

I know damn well they got it! Tracking showed me that. It would be nice for them to tell me so.
I must think different than most folks. If I sell you something, I'll hold the funds till you tell me "You got it" and am happy with it. If you don't like it or it's not up to your expectations, send it back and I'll refund your $$. I'am not one of those "too bad Buckwheat". You bought it, it's yours. I must be to much Old School? ;)

If more people would join the 21st century and use PayPal, there would be more buyer/seller protection, and just one less step to worry about. Not to mention, its secure and immediate. As far as money orders...why not just take a check?

Ship with tracking and you'll know they "got it" without having to get a PM/E-mail from them.

Just an idea.

Tracking number would work fine but that is certainly not the point that is trying to be made.

Forum Boss: If you use PayPal, make sure both buyer and seller comply with PayPal policies which prohibit sales of firearms and many firearm components.

My experience has been the opposite. About 2 months ago I
sold a whole bunch of excess bullets & brass. I received a
response from every item I sold & feedback on most if not
all of the items I sold. And, guess what, I shipped most of
the items before the funds arrived & I received payment for
every item. So, we do have a lot of good members on the
board. The only problem I had was on the .264 Win Mag
Brass that I posted. One of the "Board Bullies" indicated
that he thought I had it priced too high even though I had
priced it less than I paid for it. So, I just posted that brass
as "FREE" & gave it away just to prove a point. I noticed
that shortly after that the Forum Boss made a post about
slamming members adds. Seems for some reason the
"Board Bullies" have calmed down some.
