I don't hardly sell anything on this site. If I do, I want a US Postal
money order, period. I did have an issue with a buyer that did'nt
like it that way, so the next buyer that came along said, I'll take it
where do I send the money order. Following week later, the first
guy that was giving me the run around, got mad claiming I sold
the item out from under him.....Tough Shitsky as said in old country.
If I'm looking to buy something on this site, You'll get a US postal
money order from me and nothing else, period.
What about the Amazon packages that come through the mail? The USPS needs a new owner. Maybe Amazon. They ship more packages than the postal service.
Simply put.....Someone try's to screw me over, I have real people I can go toI have my reasons for never using postal money orders and I’ve passed on plenty of deals when the seller required them as their only acceptable means of payment. It’s safe to say that you and I will never do business and that is fine, but I’m curious why the loyalty to USPS money orders. Not bashing or even disagreeing, just curious as to the perceived benefits.
It's pretty common in the jewelry industry. I worked for one of the largest jewelry companies in the world and we shipped millions of dollars a week to and from just from our location alone. Not a single one was insured, ever. Actuaries calculated it was cheaper to risk losing a diamond every once in a while compared to the package insurance cost. To be fair, in all the time I worked there, we never had one go missing in transit at my location. When they sent my wife's diamond, they sent it overnight FedEx buried in a bunch of papers from a fictional law firm. They told me they had never lost a stone. They did not insure it!
Thanks for explaining and good luck. Hopefully you never have to deal with that.Simply put.....Someone try's to screw me over, I have real people I can go to
and look in the eye, and not some Pakistani call center that's a world away.
Anything I put up for sale is always going to be priced to sell so it never matters
if someone does not like terms. It's going down the road shortly anyways......
Main thing for me is that I know what a USPS Money Order should look like. Money orders from different places look different, and there's so many fakes out there that it can be hard to check. USPS MO solves that issue.I have my reasons for never using postal money orders and I’ve passed on plenty of deals when the seller required them as their only acceptable means of payment. It’s safe to say that you and I will never do business and that is fine, but I’m curious why the loyalty to USPS money orders. I don't have a bank account, that is why. I deal in cash only. A USPS MO I can cash at the PO. That is why. Paypal account is not mine.Im curious as to why the aversion to checks? I won’t pay with a postal money order, so I don’t ask anyone to pay me with them. I’ve paid with and accepted a lot of checks over the years with zero issues. Unless it’s a purchase of several hundred or more, I don’t even wait for it to clear when it comes from an established member with a good number of positive feedbacks.
I’m not knocking the way you do it, because it obviously works for you. I’m just curious to understand.
