Sierra 25cal 131gr HPBT

receiver, accuracy, barrel? I am close to getting a 25 cal built. what bullets have you used in your 10Tw?
Orgin Action, Brux barrel at 24". So far I've used the older berger 110 molys, 110 Nosler accubond, and 117 Sierra GKs. All during fireforming have been sub MOA. I've tested several powders so far and settled on H4831SC. With the 110 Accubonds I'm getting 3500 on the low node and 5 shot groups around .3-.4. Had reached 3650 and started to reach pressure signs there.

thank you for comments. great looking build. .3-4 is super. will improve w fine tuning. Nice.

Thanks
I'll be starting with the 134 as well but if they don't work out the 131 is next on the list.
Realistically it'll be Jan before my reamer is done
Frankly, I've never had poor accuracy results from any of the 131, 133, 134 or 135 .257 bullets made. They all shoot fantastic. Not being a comp shooter, I'll probably stick with the Hornady 134 just because they are the most reasonably priced of them all. I still have 1000 131 BJ bullets. Several boxes of Bergers also. Once I get more range work with the 134s, I'll likely sell the other brands.

Im shooting the 134gr because of price. Bought lots of factory seconds from midways. May try these one day

Here are the 131's out of my fresh 25prc, very little load development and less than 60 rounds on the 7.5t bartlein. These are loaded at mag length using Hawkins Precision hunter mags, making them jump .060"
Oh man I'd send all those 131's to me for proper disposal because those things shoot terrible, heck, you missed the center dot by a good three inches or so. ;)

Not surprised at all they shoot that good with so little load development. Historically, SMK's have been about the easiest bullets to make shoot well I've ever used.

I ordered some. Im a sucker for factory seconds
me too on both counts, not like they go stale. Heck I've still got thousands of Nosler BT from back in the 90's and given prices nowadays very glad to have them.

If someone tries them before stock runs out, please let us know how they work out. Might order more.

At 22 cents each if they will hold a 1moa ish group they are fine for varmints.
