I once had a package go past my house two times before it made it to me. From Kentucky to Ohio then to Iowa, back down to Kentucky, Pennsylvania and back to Ohio. Sad part is that it traveled to more states than I did that year...

Gubment runs it don’t they? What else would you expect?

The Government doesn't run USPS, but they do fund it.
For the most part I've had good luck with USPS, but recently their service is a bit unpredictable and sometimes slow, some areas tend to worse than others. Of course any business would get worse when the auto-sorting machines are scrapped with no replacements. We know the reason, but It made no sense at all. I can assure you that FEDEX, UPS and AMAZON have updated their automatic sorting equipment.

Shoot, none of this is bad- sent my daughter in S Korea 3 care packages- went apo military. Went to Chicago and then overseas. Currently two of them are in Poland/ Lithuania!! Nowhere close to Korea!! Third one isn’t showing any tracking. We’re working on two weeks. Crazy!

That may well be the case, BUT...

My kid and her BF are both working for a FEDEX subcontractor. I cannot directly quote $ but...

They worked two months straight, no days off. He drove and organized, she ran the packages, unless they were too big to carry. she made decent cash as a Jumper. He made as much as I do hourly, but he also got bonuses. If he worked two weeks straight, on the second Sunday he made $500 bonus for the previous Sunday. If he continued, he doubled that bonus on his third Sunday. He maxed at $2000 one day bonus and got several...paid his college tuition and his car off. (only wish he would have shared a bit with the girlfriend who wasn't making near that.) The company put them up in separate hotel rooms, pay for food, send them all over the NE USA over last holidays. They are not allowed to talk salary with the regular guys..

They are working again this summer...things are slower and he is doing ok...She will be laid off next week unless things pick up again. She is bummed cause she is short on her tuition.

I told her I would kill her if I saw video of her tossing packages etc. So far, only one dog bite and it got her right on the butt.

Glad to see someone knows how to work! Good for them! Ouch!!!

I'm at the point where if my only option to order something uses USPS, I won't order it.

I shipped some 6mm Rem brass to a guy out west a few years back (Idaho, Wyoming?). It went to GUAM first, then to him. I told him it was now 6mm Rem International.............. I'm having a battle with USPS now over an AR barrel, but I think it will work out OK. Never ever never had a claim with USPS until this time. Love my carrier. She calls me if there's a problem so I can either scoot home or fix it on the phone.

They were better in the last century. Easter 1970, Mom sent a care pkg to me. 2 Pecan and 1 buttermilk home made pies via FPO SanFran to DaNang RVN. They arrived in perfect condition in 3 days. I had a bunch of new friends that day. I didn't get back to the hooch with a bite.
