Sharp Shooter Supply

After countless emails I finally sent one that said I would be contacting the bank and have them look into it. Never got a reply. So, 2 weeks later while checking my online statement...There was a refund from them! Mutual respect only works when both parties operate equally!

That BBB rating is one of the worst I've ever seen. That rating alone would be enough to scare me off. I've only had to write a defense once to a BBB concern in 30 years.

Talented craftsman. Lousy businessman.
All to common story.

I managed an automotive repair shop that was owned by a similar fellow. Over promised, under delivered, couldn’t keep his paws out of the till. Vendors were constantly cutting us off due to extremely overdue bills. I finally got sick of the butt chewing from customers and moved on. The shop closed a few months later. The place should have been a gold mine.

My dealings with SSS have gone quite smoothly. I ordered an Ejector Kit for my 20 VarTarg that I built on a Savage Target Action and due to a back order for some parts they use to build those kits, it took about a month to get the merchandise, but that wasn't the fault of SSS.

I do treat them well. Mutual respect has benefits.
How well can you treat a someone in order to get the same in return. Maybe I don't want to know but prompt payment and return business should suffice. I'd say I've had decent experience with Fred and Lisa about 20 years ago. Since then it's been downhill the entire way. Lately, forget even expecting an item within 4-6 months. Even a simple bolt body or bolt head. Wouldn't even think about sending an action in for work. Not gonna beat them up, just not gonna do business there today.

Regarding Mutual Respect. I ordered a stock several years ago, after several months and lies from SSS (I don't know what else to call it) I did receive the stock. BUT, I had been apparently been machined incorrectly. The mistake was filled with epoxy and then repaired.
Lying to customers about delivery dates, availability of materials, mistakes, apparently favoring some customers over others? That's not mutual respect.

They are not the only company that plays favorites, when I called a different vendor inquiring about a stock I'd ordered they offered to move me up. I declined knowing I would have taken someone else's spot in line and would not want that done to me.

They just finished two actions for me. Two week turnaround.
They have done work for me for years. We have a very good relationship.
You obviously love to see others struggle while you brag about what great buds you are with them...total BS...Be a real friend of the shooters they have ripped off and answer back here after you explain to them they are con artists in the eyes of many on the web.

Has anyone received any products from SSS lately or they out of business. I ordered a gun stock about one year ago and cant even get Lisa to answer my e-mails

If you paid by card, dispute it. The card co will pay you back and then go after them.

Sharp Shooter Supply is a embarrassment to the shooting community and to the retail businesses that try to support what we all like to do. Business owners like them, can really give other apinoures a black eye. Fred & Lisa, do yourself a favor and get out of the shooting community business!!

Apparently there are still victims coming forward. If it bothers you, try clicking Thread Tools and then Ignore Thread. Just like magic you won’t see it any more!
It doesn’t bother me at all
But I don’t understand why anyone would do business without checking the better business BBB rateing
How dumb can you be

In @savagedasher defense, I will point to the fact this forum has a unique and most useful tool. When the OP typed his thread title in the forum will automatically bring up many (if not all) threads related to his topic. Therefore OP should have seen the many threads generated about the business practices of SSS. The OP could have simply read thru them and added comments to b ring the most appropriate to the top.
Also, and this to me is of even more value, had he done so BEFORE he spent money and time with SSS then he would have know to STAY AWAY.

I had many of dealings with the company
Some good and other not so good
The not so good made my decision
But I will only tell them if I get ask all a person hasn’t to do is slide this article up and read

Agreed! However the likelihood is high that someone would have complained about bumping an old thread which makes as much sense as complaining about the new thread. It makes zero sense to complain about what others post on a open forum when it is just so easy ignore things that are not of interest.
