Early on this past summer I contacted them via e-mail about a small job I needed done, and have yet to get a response. A month or so later I called to inquire about getting the same job done, and the answering machine said "we are not accepting any phone calls at this time". A friend of mine who has had a lot of work done there said he's not gotten any answers to his calls or e-mails either.

Yep, say's right on their website to do not call them- you will only get a recording. I can see a smith only accepting calls at certain times of the day.....but to allow e-mail as the only correspondence tells me they avoid all confrontation....which translates to you'll get it eventually -maybe.

They have nothing I want or need bad enough to justify putting up with that kind of service.

A simple internet search would yield sufficient enough data that if they were the only business that offered a service whatever that is that anybody would go without

It's their business model there are tons of documented cases here and elsewhere. You just gotta wait, most get their stuff but it's a LONG time with no or little communication. Good luck!

It’s amazing to me what shooters will tolerate. We’d never stand for such business practices from other businesses not selling gun stuff.

Once was enough for me. (But the work was done right) - Just too many options on other good gunsmiths to have to put up with all that baggage, BS and the Foul Mouth during communications.
