Question, James Spader, behind the back holster

I believe it was on this forum someone asked about this. Does anyone know how to get a BTB pistol holster like the one James Spader wore in the TV series The Black List ?

I have one for a 1911. It was custom made. It has 2 sets of belt loop slots so it can sit vertical or horizontal

My SOB (Small of Back) rig came from Galco. It fits all my 1911's and Hi-Power perfectly. When in the field with a rifle, it keeps the pistol from interfering with the rifle if slung or carried, and is great while at the bench to keep it off the bench top with all the other gear.



When I saw Raymond Reddington with his Browning HP in his SOB, it made me smile. There are much better choices for when driving or sitting. I don't use it for either except for the above.

Heres how mine is done. Any leather worker can change your holster to dual purpose like this

Wouldn't do me much good. With my old shoulders needing replaced, I can't get my hand back that far. I just stick it on the right side inside my waist band, no holster. Many years ago, when working homicide, I used a shoulder holster for my S&W Mod 60. Had to have my suits and jackets cut special for it.

I have one similar. It works great on a motorcycle at least for me because I can't stand a back rest on a bike. You just have to make sure your cover garment is heavy enough not to flap of secure the bottom button or snap. One of the few rigs I have found I can actually get to while on the bike as well.

For me, yes. For certain applications it is great, but for seated on a chair with a back or a car seat, it was torture...besides making noise if the chair back is wood. Mine was for a Colt Officer's .45 ACP.

They suck period, put it on, put your gun in it and then pretend you took a round in your shoulder and your right arm is useless, try and get your gun out in under 5 minutes and without dropping your pants……?

not to sidetrack the post but did anyone else notice that James Spader's gun is cocked in that gif ??

Indeed it is cocked 'n locked in Condition One. How else would one carry a loaded Browning Hi-Power? How does one carry a 1911? (Rhetorical question, we all know how, and the BHP is no different.....)
