Primer tool question

I have a brand new rcbs and was going to get the holland perfect primer tool. But I can afford the primal rights cps. So should keep rcbs or just return it and get the other. Really torn. I’m thinking I can do the same result with rcbs than the other. Just confused on what to do.

Agree, keep it. I also just got the CPS and realized that it does not have any depth markings on the unit, so you will have to go through the process of setting up and measuring each time you change to use on another combo. That instantly promoted it to my 6.5 CM priming tool only, and the hand primers will now do everything else.

btw, I tried just making a sharpie mark on the depth wheel in the thinking that I could at least dial back to that depth as long as I dont go more than 3 thou deeper or shallower, but it looks like the wheel does not return to the exact same spot. Havnt tried measuring yet to see if its just an optical illusion or something- will have to see as time goed by I guess- didnt want to make physical marks or scratches on wheel and body yet, still feel too sorry for it :)

I am not an expert....

Used rcbs hand tool for twenty years, no issues.

Got a k and m primer tool with gauge. Really cool to learn once and for all what my exact primer crush- seating depth- brass consistency is. Learned a lot using this.

I also have a cps. Really great machine. Add a rubberband to it and you can prime faster than a cuckoo clock. It takes a little getting used to compared to a hand held for feel. I start with my k and m. Then compare seating depth to my cps to get it adjusted correctly. I use the end of my caliper to measure primer depth below flush. This has been working very well and given very consistent results.

All 3 tools have been worth it for me.
