Primer prices - having a laugh?

Yes, it seems the smaller Mom an Pop shops are starting to under-cut the BIG BOYS. A shop not far from here had single #'s for $32-$37 and a fairly good selection, Fed GMM 215's -$85.00 per K. He said he was happy with his margins on these......... He also said his local customers aren't "Grabbing" any more than what would be normal for them. KUDO's for the locals and a small shop.

The last primers I bought two years ago I paid $150/5m and only a little since locally @ $60/m. I have heard "rumors" of one of the Army ordnance plants being bought and looking to reopen manufacturing primers. The plant is located in Texas, but I know not of which one. I do hope it is true as the more the merrier.

Other than setting forth guidelines that could potentially lead to an insurance claim denial; what legal authority does this association have? None that I can see. If they did it would be administration instead of association and .gov instead of .org. What am I missing?
The NFPA, like the ICC(international Code Council), ASTM, ACI(very few concrete guys even know this exists) etc all provide standards for codes. Those standards are then adopted by states, cities and counties. Usually by ordinance locally or legislatively at the state level(think state fire marshals) they are given the authority to enforce those standards and codes.

So yes, NFPA is very enforceable. The same fire departments that fine you during periodical inspections can in fact fine you and even get court orders to enforce. Will they mess with this? Nope. At least not until a fireman is injured as a result of this then stand by.

Mike here from Performance Shooting, Inc if you call me I will sell CCI 450's for $89.99 per 1,000 with shipping at $29.95 for as many as you buy. If you guys want to save some money call me at 518-483-5241.
Website says out of stock, do you have any other primer in stock

Outside is SRP and large pistol primers I haven’t seen much else here in over a year. I was in a local gun shop over the weekend and they had Remington LRP for $8.45 for a sleeve of 100. I bought 2 sleeves just to try out. Yeah, I know I got ripped off, but I still have some primers. That’s the highest price I’ve seen here and before that it was $6.99 for a sleeve.

Some people will pay whatever the current price is and others will hold out hoping for cheaper prices again. As much as I’d like to see prices get back down to 2019 pricing I think we’re just about where we’re going to be for the foreseeable future. Inflation is at record highs, raw materials are hard to source, transportations a joke, fuels about to set record highs and nobody’s lifting a finger to do anything about it. As bad as it hurts to say it I think it’s either pay now or cry later if you need something.
