That's pretty interesting since the Carlos Hathcock aka "White Feather" died in 1999.Doesn’t do much shooting anymore, but you’ll find him chasing bass anytime he can get the boat out.

I took a high power clinic that the USMC put on back in 2000 or so. Carlos Hathcock (the son) was the Gunnery Sgt in charge of the clinic at the time. Tremendous teacher and all around nice guy. That's pretty interesting since the Carlos Hathcock aka "White Feather" died in 1999.dedogs
His son shot for the USMC, and coached me in LRFS at Perry in 1999. He’s retired from the Marines now, still very much alive, and as I said, spends an inordinate time fishing. Great guy, big footsteps to follow in.
Sorry Kev..... Carlos died 20yrs ago. I know because I got the last 5 signatures he ever scrawled for 5 copies of his book. Norm and Rocky "had to go wake him up" to get him to sign. Couple days later I heard he's passedActually, the real Carlos Hathcock is a friend of mine. Made me check your profile to see if it was him when I first noticed it here. Doesn’t do much shooting anymore, but you’ll find him chasing bass anytime he can get the boat out.
Occasionally I use some steel whole on the necks and shoulder but my brass also tends to be the dirtiest on the range too. It works and that is what matters. With brass that clean you'd be wearing white gloves to seat the bullets. Kinda makes me want to cry. My brass is always the nastiest brass at the range. I always get... why don't you clean your brass? My thoughts if it's working don't change it.

Don't be confused, there are still many here that think it's not cool to use HIS name .Apparently not. The other forum is still feeding on my screen name like Hyenas at a Wildebeast carcas. This forum seems to be a little more laid back. Anyway, more super brass....

I find it interesting that people get upset when I decide to use the name of a patriotic skilled American serviceman as a simple means of identifying my account. Had I chosen one such as "ilikeyungboys43" or something along those lines, would the response be the same? What names should be considered off limits and why exactly? How about someone explain this for me.I

I'm confused. You're saying the actual CH used his name when posting on Facebook? What if I chose George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, or Oliver North?I don’t care, personally. Free country and all. But it *is* someone’s actual name, and he has been a part of the shooting community. Funny thing is there was a post on a Facebook group where someone kind of gave him a little shit for using his own name, not realizing that it was him. He seemed used to it.
That's bullshit. Facebook was launched in 2004 to Harvard students only and made available to the general public in 2006 so he must of posted things from the grave. Where do people come up with this shit?I'm confused. You're saying the actual CH used his name when posting on Facebook? What if I chose George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, or Oliver North?
Yes. Carlos Hathcock posted on Facebook and someone didn’t think he was actually Carlos Hathcock and gave him a little shit for being dead. To his credit he apologized once he realized his error. He’s real and using is name is at best confusing.I'm confused. You're saying the actual CH used his name when posting on Facebook? What if I chose George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, or Oliver North?
Carlos Hathcock’s son, also named Carlos Hathcock, is still very much alive. You made the same mistake the guy on Facebook did. That's bullshit.
