Official Gun Pix 'Pride & Joy' Thread

Never saw a barrel shaped like that, stealthy. How's it shoot and who made it?

It's a Remington VTR in 308. It's basically a 700 action on a bull barrel with the sides milled. I have read some have issues with it and the barrel design is faulty but when I shove a 168 A-Max pushed by 43gr of Varget into it I have absolutely no complaints! I added the Magpul Hunter stock.

I did some reading up on this. A little stout on recoil but for my son it may be perfect. Lots of great "over the counter" rifles out there but I'll keep my eyes peeled for one. He's got a lot of .22 trigger time and this in a .223 or .308 may be a good step up. Probably a 10 twist but if we can find something low on the charge weight that'll print an inch he'll do well.

I received these two stocks from Andrea Santecroe (AS Rifle & Stock) in Italy earlier this year. I've just had the stocks inletted, bedding job done and got them back from the painters where they were clear coated and I had the front rails done in a carbon fibre weave to match the resin inlay. Tested both out on the weekend and they're excellent. The black and grey resin stock is home to my 284 Shehane and the blue/purple combo has a 6GT sitting in it. Both rifles sporting Borden BRMXD dual port actions, Bartlein barrels, TriggerTech Diamond Triggers, March 10-60x56 High Master scopes with March Gen III rings, and RAD systems fitted to both stocks.

Latest results from my PRS rifle. Target from the weekend fine tuning the zero. These results are zero load development. I picked a random load and started shooting. I wanted to do load development, but ran out of time. I'm shooting in the Peterson Cartridge Challenge this weekend and am just going to go with it. Total round count now is 134.

Looks like nothing was left out and it shoots nicely. Have fun in your match

This one has been with me about 11 yrs now, it was a bit of challenge to learn the right way to shoot it, as with all things, persistence pays off. Been a lot of fun, will have more yet with it. Krieghoff Classic 30R Blaser. Has the Big 5 stock, a Recknagel swingoff scope mount, a Recknagel peep, regular irons with a fibre optic frt insert, and at the moment, a Leupold Deltapoint 2.5 on it. Run 185gr RWS Evo bullets in it w/ RL26.
One of those guns I'd always wanted, was finally in a position to do it back then.

Willow,

Both of your stocks look amazing. Kinda makes me wish that I made my stock with the cobalt blue epoxy instead of the purple..... Oh well....

Since my stock was for a 22LR action with a 24" barrel, I had Andrea shorten the forend by cutting off "2 vent holes" in the forend and moving the 3" flat forend back a little. Made it a little more proportionate with the rimfire action.

So many options mate...I found it hard to decide on those options but at the end of the day you get a unique product and they work well (for the price they would want to!). I suggested to Andrea that he incorporate the aluminium rails and thankfully he was kind enough to oblige.

First is my new to me .300 Savage in a model 99. Needed a tune up but shoots great. Once it got the tune-up, it feeds great tooIMG_2482.jpegA 1903A3 with a custom stock. I use this pic as the next pic I took didn’t show the grain like this one. It’s from the butt all the way to the tip of the fore-end like this. And the stripes on the inside match the outside. It’s in 25-06, so feeds rather well. Groups around 1” with 100’s and 1 1/2” with 120’s
