Official Gun Pix 'Pride & Joy' Thread

I inherited a couple old rifles today, Dad is 80, diabetic and can’t get out much anymore, today he gave me his Pre-64 lightweights, a 30-06 and a 270 with some nice wood. He’s had them forever, fanatical reloader who is slowing down. He says they will both hold MOA at 100 with three shots. Conetrol rings and fixed power Leupolds, classic bolt action set ups. I’ll give them a fresh clean tomorrow and when elk season is over I hope to play around with them some. He would enjoy seeing them back in action.

I am sure your Dad would be very happy to see the rifles in the field again! Beautiful rifles.

Very nice, he took great care of them.

Part of the fun of a custom build if your the customer is the anticipation. I have a couple rifles being completed by Zack with Old Dominion. I’m currently in Hawaii on work and exchanged a few texts and pics last night.

Orange one is a 7PRC built on a Tikka, McSwirly game hunter stock, HH Barrel. The other two are 6x47s, one for me and one for a good friend. Identical rifles but different color patterns. Bat actions, Manners LRH stocks, HH barrels. Fun. The Dies and components are waiting at home, should get to play with these over the holiday.

If they shoot like the other rifles he’s built it’ll be all smiles and I’m sure they will. Very enjoyable guy to do a build with, we’re spoiled with the number of top tier gunsmiths on this forum!

Beautiful. The table they are sitting on has really spectacular figure

This is my new "Pro-Mod" F-Open rifle. Being a long-time drag racer & fabricator kind of drew me in to build an aluminum chassis combo. This Competition Machine chassis from Gary Eliseo handles great and tracks like it's on rails due to it's super low center of gravity. This rifle also shoots like a perfectly tuned Pro-Mod car thanks to the gunsmithing & chambering talent of Omar Alonzo. I have recently won a mid-range 600yd match and a 2nd place 1000yd match at Bayou Rifles with this dude. This rifle is only limited by my wind call abilities, (lol).

Stock: Competition Machine F1 aluminum F-Open chassis. It's got fully adjustable length of pull, butt pad & check rest. Falcon Strike butt pad, "Penquin" Grip.
Rifle weighs-in @ 21 lbs, 14.1 oz.
Finish: "Icy-Hot" custom anodizing by Caustic Customs.
Action: Bat M. RB, LP, RE, magnum bolt, B&A Comp. trigger
Barrel: Brux 1-8.5 twist, 1.350" first 5" then straight-tapered down to 1.050" at the muzzle, 32" long. V2 Tuner. 300 Below cryo-treated. Chambered in no-turn 7-6.5 PRC, Alonzo Custom Rifles reamer.
Scope: March-X 8-80, MTR1 reticle mounted with March Superlight Titanium scope rings.
Cartridge: Lapua 6.5 PRC necked-up to 7mm. 210M primers, Berger 180 Hybrids, 53.32 grains H4350 @ 2865 fps. Jumped .033" from "touch".
