NOS Brass and when to anneal.

All brands are annealed at the factory. A double anneal doesn't hurt anything.
Your spot on Webster!… all brass has been annealed usually several time at the munitions plant, if they didn’t it would split out during the drawing process but when people don’t see the discolored neck shoulder like Lapua brass looks they think it hasn’t been annealed at the factory.

Another update..... The Norma brass had NO issues. I tested both annealed and non annealed. Seating pressure was much stiffer with the non annealed though. End result is Remington will be scrapped and ALL the Norma will be annealed.
 
Too bad about the crap brass.
I have 20 virgin boxes of Norma 6MM Rem from the late '70's. I will be annealing them before shooting.

I have a bunch of Herters (Norma) 6mm brass from the early 70s that will also get annealed before loading .
