All brands are annealed at the factory. A double anneal doesn't hurt anything.That depends - if you buy decent brass, like Lapua, it is annealed from factory - ready for first load/firing.
Your spot on Webster!… all brass has been annealed usually several time at the munitions plant, if they didn’t it would split out during the drawing process but when people don’t see the discolored neck shoulder like Lapua brass looks they think it hasn’t been annealed at the factory.All brands are annealed at the factory. I dont, AMP says after the first firing, then each time after firing again. new brass was probably annealed when it was made.But do you anneal new brass before loading the first time ?
I have a bunch of Herters (Norma) 6mm brass from the early 70s that will also get annealed before loading .Too bad about the crap brass.
I have 20 virgin boxes of Norma 6MM Rem from the late '70's. I will be annealing them before shooting.
