New Arken 7x35

As a followup i shot a 600 yard fclass match with my new 7-35. The target was crisp starting out in the morning. I had no issues getting behind it. Again no worse than my NXS 8-32. By the time came for my relay for the second match, about 11:45 the mirage was really running. But it was clear to see what was going on. I didn’t dial much just using the reticle for quick hold offs. The wind was fishtailing from the south. It is so tricky to keep up. But the good news was that for once the FFP reticle made it much easier because i knew exactly what i was getting. Aiming with the dot was pretty straightforward. The dot actually fit inside the X ring with still having the X ring background showing before running into the actual white line. Shading the x ring was just as good as the + of my NXS.

October 19 is the 1000 yard and i will try her there but i cannot see why it wouldn’t do the job just as well as it did today.

Now the decision of how to swap scopes around and which one gets put on the block.

I shot the 7-35 on a CZ today at our 50 yd 22 match
I had it on one CZ and a 45X Sightron on my other CZ
The Arken is a winner! Sharp enough and very bright I plan on grabbing another--These are outstanding for the $$ I have also had lackluster response from them on a thing or two but the darn scopes are winners for the $$ No doubt

Tried to order a new 7-35x today and they wouldn't let me use my accumulated points, Said you couldn't use more than one discount at a time and their LOWEST code is considered a discount, Told me if I wanted to redeem my points to not use the LOWEST code or to save my points up until they were more than the 25% discount! Pretty sad to lose a sale and a customer over $32 but that's their choice....

To their credit, they allow you to use the points on any of the accessories also. You could have used them after for a bubble level or flip-its, it doesn't look like the 7-35 comes with those. I'm not defending their practice, but I've used almost all of my points from the EP-8 I bought. :)

Shot the DNT tonight on my 22LR, Overall I like the scope, Eye box is still a little tight for my liking, Glass seems good, gets a little grainy on 35 power but perfectly fine, Would like to see an index line for the parallax adjustment, Seems to track well, Will find out more when I try it out at longer distances

My DNT showed up yesterday. My initial impression so far are good. The turrets are crisp with good feel and no lash, the zoom adjustments feel smooth. It's going on my Vudoo, so I'm not asking for much past 400. I was planning on running it in a match this weekend but that got canceled due to high winds. I'll compare it Optically to a few of my other scopes this weekend. S&B, 7x35 ATCAR, 5X25 ATCAR, Gen 2 and 3 Razors. If it tracks, I'll be happy.
