As a followup i shot a 600 yard fclass match with my new 7-35. The target was crisp starting out in the morning. I had no issues getting behind it. Again no worse than my NXS 8-32. By the time came for my relay for the second match, about 11:45 the mirage was really running. But it was clear to see what was going on. I didn’t dial much just using the reticle for quick hold offs. The wind was fishtailing from the south. It is so tricky to keep up. But the good news was that for once the FFP reticle made it much easier because i knew exactly what i was getting. Aiming with the dot was pretty straightforward. The dot actually fit inside the X ring with still having the X ring background showing before running into the actual white line. Shading the x ring was just as good as the + of my NXS.
October 19 is the 1000 yard and i will try her there but i cannot see why it wouldn’t do the job just as well as it did today.
Now the decision of how to swap scopes around and which one gets put on the block.
