New Arken 7x35

My DNT showed up yesterday. My initial impression so far are good. The turrets are crisp with good feel and no lash, the zoom adjustments feel smooth. It's going on my Vudoo, so I'm not asking for much past 400. I was planning on running it in a match this weekend but that got canceled due to high winds. I'll compare it Optically to a few of my other scopes this weekend. S&B, 7x35 ATCAR, 5X25 ATCAR, Gen 2 and 3 Razors. If it tracks, I'll be happy.
Tagging in for this comparison.
Would like to see how define the retical is, with the elevation bottomed and topped out, compared to your others. My EP 5 tracked great but image was poor in an ELR22 match here. A kyl rack at 50m to a 15" plate at 500 m.One of the Athlons could do that, but glass is just OK.

Glass in the 7-35 is a step up from my EP5 no doubt--it is crisp and bright--we have shot ( and won) a few 22 bench matches so far tracks like all my other top end stuff Zero issues--hell of a scope for the $$
a real No Brainer

Got to shoot the DNT today. Glass is good, tracking, not so much. On my Vudoo with known good Ammo. First issue is the grub screws for the turrets are SO tight, one stripped. I didn't use the cheap Allen that came with it either. Got a 50 yard zero, cranked max elevation, came back to Zero, no bueno. Maybe I got a bad one, but I'm sending it back. The Razors going back on.

I really couldn't tell about the tracking on my CZ that I put it on, Putting it on my 6br instead of my Razor and gonna shoot it Sunday and see how it tracks, Yours is the first bad review that I've seen so far...

What exactly was no bueno? Did it not go back to zero? How far was it off? Did you do it multiple times of up and down? Being a cheaper scope it might need to be run in some.
Never owned a scope that needed to be broken in. After zero at 50, I was shooting at 100 yards. Dialed up 75 moa came back down to 100. It was off 2" up and 1" right. A few more shots and it came in. I repeated this test at 100 yards and 50 yards twice. I would have done a tall target test next if this issue hadn't come up.I could have overlooked the soft turret screws and got new ones. I was even thinking of taking them out and driving in a torx bit in to make it work. I really wanted it to work, the glass IS good, the clicks are crisp. Repeatability is 1st and foremost for me. I think the money is in the internals. Maybe I just got a lemon. At any rate, be super careful with the locking screws on the turrets. Let me know how yours plays out.

Oh I will once I get it mounted up. I will be running it through some tests myself. Plan to run a tall target test.

That is a bummer.
Have seen other scopes brands do that I think ROB1 is correct on that.
My partner and I, first ELR started on 400m plate, next stage is 50m Hostage target, set our zeros to 50m his didn't return to zero,it took a firm Simmons double tap on turrent with safety magazine and few twisters.I'm next up,same thing.
Mine is a Viper, partner was a Diamondback, both scopes continued to track well.Shooters not so well.

Tried to order a new 7-35x today and they wouldn't let me use my accumulated points, Said you couldn't use more than one discount at a time and their LOWEST code is considered a discount, Told me if I wanted to redeem my points to not use the LOWEST code or to save my points up until they were more than the 25% discount! Pretty sad to lose a sale and a customer over $32 but that's their choice....
How many discounts to you need to make it palatable? Spend your money on a NF instead. You should come out ahead.

Put the DNT on my 6br today and sighted it in for 100 yard zero, Made a vertical line on the target and marked it at 3.4" & 6.8" to simulate 1 mil and 2 mils, Cranked scope up and cut the 1 mil line, cranked it up to 2 mils and it was about 1/4" high but that could have been me, cranked it back down to zero and punched the center again, Seems like it's going to track ok but only time will tell, really got it to put on my 40X 22lr so that's probably where it will end up...

At 100 yards one mil is 3.6” and 2 mils would be 7.2”. You’re thinking on moa equivalent with us about 3.43 moa to one mil.

Sounds like it’s close to tracking though. That’s good.

I returned my DNT because 1st shot wouldn't return after dialing up. I confirmed this multiple times. This was on my Vudoo. The glass was great, the turrets felt good. The allen screws in the turrets are poorly made and soft. Not a screw your going to find at a hardware store. Take one out and you'll see what I'm talking about. I suspect if this was on my centerfire, the recoil may have helped move the erector tube back?
I think these more affordable scopes are getting better optically, but not putting the money in the internals. I ended up playing musical chairs with my scopes and moved a gen3 Razor to the Vudoo. Went to the range yesterday and confirmed with a known good lot. I really wanted the DNT to work. It ended up costing me more as I got a S&B 6-36 from EuroOptics. Is it worth 4 1/2 times more? To me, yes.

What's a DNT? I've never heard of them.
I guess I need to do a little research, but I'll start here with this question.
Glad the S&B is working out for you.

It's a close cousin of the Arken 7-35. You can see it here.

I got one to try out and still playing with it. I put it on my 6mm ARC. I have my Arken showing up next Wednesday so will do a head to head and see.
