New 6XC Build

I called and talked to Brad at Urbanrifleman. He knows his stuff and has Remage barrels at a unbeatable price. He talked me into a 6XC for now, put my order in and shipped it the same day. Had 6XC dies and bushings in stock, he even sent me results of the same batch of barrels another shooter is using. Lead me to david tubbs website for brass. Great guy to talk too and will give you advise and guidance on where to go. This is a Remage build on one of my Remington 700 actions in a chassis.
Will be using a 26" 1-8 barrel tubb 160 freebore and he swears by the 112gr match burners. My only issue is h4350 is hard to find currently but on the lookout. Anyone used varget or imr 8208 with 105 or 107gr ?

The 6XC is, a very GOOD choice for, a 6MM and is not real, "Picky" about, Powders IF, the "Burn Rate" is, matched correctly to, the Bullet.
I like my Criterion, 1-7.5 twist Barrel with, .104 Free Bore but, I mainly shoot 80 gr. Sierra's and 95 grain, Berger Classic Hunters, using, IMR 4350 and StaBall with the 95 and 108's and,.. H-4895 w/ the 80's.
The 108 gr. Berger Elite Hunter bullet, shoots,.. very well ( in, the 3's ) with, 41 grains of StaBall.
You should have a Winner with, your New Barrel !

I like n160, the n150 may work well too. I have had good success with reloder15 with lighter bullets. Varget is of similar burn rate and works well in the 240nmc with 105s. Western powders. Berger and sierra all have 6xc data.

It has been my experience, that H4350 works very well with 115 gr. bullets and RL16 works the best for 105 gr. bullets. Varget works very well too, but you get more velocity with RL16 with very good accuracy. I don't shoot 115 gr. bullets anymore, so I don't know how RL16 works with 115's but it might be worth a try.

Try this. It's General Dynamics powder. Good stuff.

My favorite Berger 108 load for 6xc is 34.5 AR COMP. I got that load from guys that were using 8208. Turns out it was the same load.

My 6xc prefers Varget with 108 Berger or Hornady. Getting a little over 3000 with a mild load with excellent extreme spreads and SD's. Best combination I have seen. My rifle shot good with about everything but could not get tight extreme spreads until I tried Varget.
