New 22BR and 90VLD's

Randy,
It is really amazing what it is capable of just f.fing, I hope you do really well in two weeks.
Wayne.

Wayne, the wind is switch from 2 to 10 in a fish tail, but not so drastic that I couldn't stay in front of the wind. There was a Canadian shooter next to me shooting a Service Rifle, he was getting slammed from 9 ring @ 3 o'clock to 9 @ 9 o'clock. I didn't take any sighters and with the ff load shot a 200-15X. Pretty sweet in my opinion! This was at 600 yards.

200 15 is darn good shootin, not only does the gun need to be accurate, but the shooter must be excellent. My hat's off to you.

Well after some extensive testing, I have determined that 2000MR is not working for me. Not saying that it will not work for someone else. I will say that it leaves a lot soot on the necks, but seems to clean up pretty easy out of the bbl.

Ran a new ladder test this morning with H4350 found a node with test loads of 31.0, 31.3 and 31.6 grs. Will have to do some testing at 600 yards.

I did, it didn't, too much elevation in the load, lost four points to wind the rest to elevation. I have been working on a new load the past two days, I may have found it. We'll see here soon.

Tested the new load today @ 600. The load of 31.1 grs of H4350 with a moly'd 90VLD is working. No elevation issues with fired brass. Also tested the load brass that needed fire forming, with that brass there was a lil more elevation from one round, the rest of it shot very consistant. I have enough confidence that this load is working with the fire formed brass to use in a regular match. I have one more powder to test, though i get some raised eyebrows when i mention it. But Quickloads first suggestion is RL17 with the BR case and the Berger 90VLD. So, i will give it a go once the temps have settled a lil more. I like testing that powder when it is warmer out.

What are you expecting barrel life wise, Froggy? I'm intrigued...

Thanks for sharing.

I was fire forming some brass and was shooting prone on a f/class target, after sighters i believe it was a 148-6X. I really love this round!
