You'd be, very Happy with, a Tikka IMHO, just don't buy too big of, a Caliber as they are, light weight Rifles for, Mountain, "Hunting" and anything over, a 7 Rem Mag,. kicks too much, IMO !
Been testing the 140 grain Berger, Classic Hunters, in my Tikka T-3 , SS, 24" .270 WSM and getting, 1/2 MOA groups with, 65.7 grains of IMR 7828 , Sammi COAL of, 2.860, Rem Brass, F-215's , using Forster Dies.
I'm hoping that, the Berger's will be, a better, Elk / Moose "Killer' than, the "hard" 140 Accubond's were.
Looks like, I'm going to "shave" about a 1/4 inch off, the group size with, the Berger Classic's !
My .270 Tikka, weigh's, 7 Pounds, 10 ounces ( scoped w/ Burris Zee, steel Rings ) and balances / carries,.. Beautifully ! NO need, for me to, "Build" or buy, anything more, for Big Game !
I have less than, $1,100 "Invested" Total, in Rifle with, Scope !
