MSM SHOOTERS
Saturday we had our monthly 3 x 600 at Henry County Gun Club. The weather was as forecasted, hot and humid with light to mild winds. We had a good turnout despite the heat and utilized all 10 firing points in the conduct of the match. The covered firing point is a thing of beauty I have to say. Now if we can just get a overhang constructed in the pits.
Congratulations to the class winners for this month, Mitch Henson: prone, Brian Bowling: F-Open, Robert Hanback: F-T/R and Lindsey Dickson: High Junior. Our next scheduled match will be next month on the 12th at Henry Co Gun Club.
Please make note that the 5/6 August matches have been canceled by the National Guard. Our next scheduled match at AEDC is the F-Class State Championship on the 2nd/3rd of September. Also of note is the MidRange Combined State championship which will now be the 28th/29th of October to be hosted at Memphis this year. We will get the program posted as soon as its approved by the NRA. Hope to see you on the range soon ! .............................Tim / John MidSouth Marksmen

Also the LR Tennessee F-Class Championship is coming on the 2/3rd of September at AEDC/Tullahoma TN. Get this on your calendar if you haven't done so already, we will be handing out a ton of awards at this event.
Also just in, The Tennessee combined MR state Championship will be on the 28/29th of October at the Memphis Sport Shooting Association hosted and ran by Midsouth Marksmen. The program for this match will be posted on our website soon, so stay tuned for more information to follow.

Tim, will you be giving out any small trophy or plaque in the future for the Henry County matches ? It definitely makes shooter travel to attempt to win that 7 $ plaque
It is on next years agenda to hand out medals at next year's matches to the overall class winners. Also if I can get enough shooters to support it, we may be willing to run a Regional (ie registered) match there next year.

hey tim, it's Marshall. glad to see the matches are taking off. I'll get up there when I can.
It was a perfect day for shooting sunday at Henry Co Gun Club. It was mostly clear, with mild conditions and the scores reflect that. We also had more sling that F-Class for the first time, not sure what this means. But was nice to see for a change.
Were able to use our new electronic targets for the first time without any major issues. Minus a bunch of computer illiterate old gray headed guys. Attached please find results for the day, and congratulations to the
match winners. Sling: Jim Sokolowski 600-48x, F-OPEN: Brian Bolling 600-50X, F-T/R: Ronnie Ralston 587-21X and JR F-T/R: Collin Douthitt 586-9X.
Hope to see everyone at our next scheduled match which will be the TN State LR F-Class Championship 2/3rd of September. Yes this is the state F-Class state championship but is open to all shooters. (IE sling) and a award will be presented to the high sling shooter, Just note, he is not the state champion as that match will be at Oak Ridge on the 8-10th of September.
