We are less than a week from our annual MidRange Regional (27/28th)
Get these dates on your calendar and come out and get some of the awards we have waiting. Like last year we will spend over a thousand dollars on trophies, plaques and medals. Hope to see you there.............Tim/John MSM

What I really like about this match is that you don't need to pre-register (in fact, pre-registration is not supported) and no one needs to worry about being turned away since we always figure out a way to accommodate everyone.

Good. I'm planning to be there and already have my hotel reservations. The 60 shooter limit in the match doc had me worried a bit.

I'll tell you another thing I appreciate, related to the unpredictable nature of the weather in middle Tennessee:

I sure am glad that Tim & John never cancel the match ahead of time based on potentially-flawed weather predictions, and they always show up to run the match no matter what.

I guess we'll all just have to accept the fact that there will be no 24-hour advanced notice, and those competitors traveling long distances will all just have to look at the weather reports themselves and make their own decision about whether or not to attend the match if the weather doesn't look good - you know... like adults.

I have never seen a shooter turned away. Not one in 16 years of shooting with this group. If you show up with match fees, a good attitude and a rifle/rounds you will be shooting.

Great match guys. Well done Tim and John on a well run match. I had a blast. One complaint however. You Tennessee boys need to warn folks about that mountain of a 600 yard firing line. I'm gonna have to hire me a Sherpa and equipment porters next time I shoot with ya'll.:eek:o_O:D LOL.

Once again the AEDC weather gods allowed us to get 2 fine days of shooting in despite the

forecasts from the local weather man. All who decided to skip the match because of this forecast missed out again. ( Told you so) We missed the rain , but the winds were there and required you to stay on your toes, or pay the price.
A special thanks goes out to: Jack Dickson,Tom Parish, John Huskey, Tonya Venters. To whom this match would have been impossible to pull off. Remember its the people working behind the scenes who make these matches a success. A
ttached please find the complete results.
Our next matches will be a 6x600 at Henry county on 10/11 June and the Dean Herron memorial match at AEDC on 25 June. Thanks.................John/Tim Midsouth Marksmen

Attached please find the results for last weekends 3x600's at Henry Co Gun Club.
It was a great weekend for shooting and the weather didn't disappoint. Just enough
wind out there to keep a guy honest. Congratulations to those shooters who won their
individual class.
Hope to see you at our next match, which will be on the 25th at AEDC. This will be our
annual Dean Herron Memorial Match. We will be handing out the traveling trophies for
this match. We have also added a wood and steel trophy to the line up.
Get those old wood rifles out and come compete. Tim/John MidSouth Marksmen.

We are less than a week out from the annual Dean Herron Memorial match. ( 25th) As in the past we will award a trophy for the high F-Class and Prone shooters. We may even break down and hand out some medals if enough folks come out and participate. Also we have added a Wood and Steel Trophy for those shooting good old fashioned wood and steel iron sighted service rifles. Dust off those M1's and M14's and come out and have some fun.
Hope to see you there..................Tim/John MidSouth Marksmen

Last Sunday we had 43 shooters for our annual Dean Herron Memorial match at AEDC (Tullahoma TN ). Weather was perfect with temps in the low 80's with plenty of sunshine. The winds were present and just strong enough with changes to keep the shooters honest. Attached please find the complete match results. Congratulations to this year's winners Larry Sollars High Prone and Dwayne Russell High F-class. Hope to see everyone next month ( July 8th ) at our next 3x600 match at Henry Co Gun club.
Thanks..............Tim/John MidSouth Marksmen
