Had 20 shooters this past Sunday ( Mothers Day) come out to AEDC and celebrate mothers day in style. The weather was Hot and winds were mild. Congratulations to this months winners, attached are the results.
Hope to see everyone on the 26th/27th for our annual MR Regional at AEDC.

I'm looking forward to the 3x20x600 match this Saturday (7/07) at Henry County Gun Club. It should be a good final warmup for the LR Nationals at Camp Atterbury next week!

There is no indication to the contrary. I am sure Tim will be there regardless of the weather...

MSM Shooters

We are about 3 days out from our next 3 x 600 at Henry Co. If you haven't done so yet, you need to come out and shoot this match. We have a covered firing line ( beat the heat) and also a number of electronic targets to ease pit duties.
Also we will have a vintage rifle match following the 3 x 600 if enough people are interested. Will be 2 x 300 fired from the prone on electronic targets . Hope to see you there...................Tim/John MidSouth Marksmen

May sound like a dumb question, what kind of rifle is considered vintage?

Its supposed to be a fun match, so I let people shoot what they bring as long as its safe. But for the the sake of true vintage Its supposed to be WWII or earlier. IE 1903, 1917, M1 Garand .

Was a beautiful day for shooting, probably the best so far this year. Things went trouble free after a squading snafu. (Match director had to much bourbon the night before) Thinking we are finally getting a handle on the electronic targets and there operation. Will have the results up tomorrow if I can get off the couch.......................

MSM Shooters

Attached are the results from today's match at Henry Co Gun Club. As usual we beat the weather gods and had perfect weather for a match in July. the wind god was also present and made those who didn't stay ahead of conditions pay the price.
Congratulations to our high shooters this month. Jim Sokolowski: prone and Barry Holcomb: F-Class. Hope to see everyone next month at AEDC for our next scheduled matches. The Dean Herron Memorial match (3 x 600) Saturday the 11th of Aug and an approved 3 x 1000 on sunday the 12th of Aug.

Jeff, the matches are the 11th and 12th as stated in my prior post. They were changed from our original schedule, due to National Guard training requirements.
Also as promised the Henry Co 3 x 600 for next month has been rescheduled due to conflict to the 18th. I say again, the next match at Henry county is on the 18th. Please let your buddies know.
