Just a thought. I know of some guys who drew up plans to make an alcohol still back in the late 70's during the fuel crunch. Their idea was to supplement their gasoline with ethanol additive to save money. They may have even encouraged using the alcohol as the primary fuel. Instead of selling the stills, they decided that selling the detailed, professionally drafted plan set was much easier and more profitable. No real inventory, no shipping, no overhead. They advertised in magazines and made a killing, long after the magazine ads ran.
Selling the detailed plans, not the product might be a better way to do this....
