Reverting back to you ways on the other forum. Say the words and call me the names you used on the other forum.

Post a link - I'd love to get to the bottom of your problem once and for all.

I was just about to post this:

Love to see what you guys think* of this idea from a local entrepreneur I've met:

www.gunbed.net

*and will criticize, malign, tear apart - lol.
I'll feed into this one more time... For starters take your example, the premise of the Gun Bed Rack idea, remove the bed and you have his invention/idea.
Now take the premise of your idea/invention, yada, yada, yada what do you have, exactly, nutin!

Re: Marketing help/advice

Where's the pic from page 4? .....and why is every post by the OP edited? Your goal of selling a marketable workbench of that size for under $180 and under 70 lbs. packaged and making a profit is unrealistic. Do you know anything about overhead costs? The box to ship it in will run you $20.
You claim to have experience in furniture making....well I don't see any evidence ....the fastening methods and materials used look like a cub scout project.

Re: Marketing help/advice

OK - no problem - I catch all your's drift here. No more criticisms (all have been blanks*) needed but anyone who can show something better in a similar kit form is welcome to post here or PM me with it - will even offer a percentage/royalty of sales if I use any ideas submitted in the final product.

Oh and I'm waiting for some clarification from B. Lambert - LOL.

*I should go into the manufacture of blanks as you all sure use them a lot.

Response to LH Smith - another blank fired - I've got pricing for the shipping boxes (275 lb test) for under $5!

Re: Marketing help/advice

I would skip the ingenious aspect of your plan and go for a all out top end bench kit to sell. If you have access to nice hardwoods and want to build these things then skip the cheapo box version and go for what could be deluxe bench :) Most guys that are using benches and reloading from what I read are do it your selfers, So unless your product has some appeal :( JMHO

How about this to start. I believe this was in 2002.

I'm busy working now. I will post a big list later.

Re: Marketing help/advice

You asked to see something better in kit form?

Take a look at the benches on the bullets.com site. Shiraz happens to be a very capable woodcrafter.

Re: Marketing help/advice

Sonofagun,

You have posted your reloading bench on at least two forums over a period of at least 12 years and it does not look like many, if any, reloaders have expressed even mild excitement about your product idea. Your original post asked for marketing advice and I think you have gotten just that, the advice was not what you wanted to hear so you got defensive. If you are so sure your realization of the most magnificent reloading bench will sell in the numbers you think put your money down and do it. Put your product on the market and when you have reached the great heights of commercial success that you claim you can rub that in all of those who doubted you and your idea had great commercial merit.

Re: Marketing help/advice

son o gun, do you remember this?

As usual Lambert just likes to agitate but not man enough to explain why he likes playing childish games.

Probably was the school yard bully as a kid.

And further, I'll post WTF I want to say on here or any other forum and if you don't like it, tuff shit. Now go have a nice cup of STFU

Son o gun, what about this one

Another insult huh, asshole.

I suggest you explain your problem. Fuck, you can even PM me, but I know you don't have any kind of decent explanation for WTF your problem is

Re: Marketing help/advice

Sunofagun231,
It appears that you have done or are doing some market research using the members of this and other forums. That is admirable and of utmost importance business wise to see if there is demand for your product, before you sink your money and time into it. The results of the study as I see it, show less than a warm reception for your product. The people on this and other forums are your potential customers. As a prudent business person, you should listen to the potential buyers.

The seville classic looks like the ideal bench and it has it's own light fixture.........and the proper leg BRACING.

Re: Marketing help/advice

That simple potting bench , when screwed and glued , has lasted me 6+ yrs , 2 presses , one for 50 BMG , so do youself some homework .

Re: Marketing help/advice

I have that same table without back and light and stil managed to crack the 2" thick laminated top after 8 years. Even nicer is it has adjustable feet to keep level. I suppose with the Son-of-a Bench you could always sand down a leg for leveling.

The name might be trademarked, so check before you run with it - marketing help received!

Re: Marketing help/advice

I've seen all these benches - again none are specifically designed for reloading, they need bracing because they use weak methods of attaching the legs, most are imports (killing American jobs), many are just benches with no shelves for storage of reloading tools & supplies included and they have many other design features which are less than optimal.

For example: the ones witth drawers - how you going to open the drawer with a press attached to the top???

Butch - you STILL have not explained what I did to piss you off in the first place - all you're showing are how you pissed me off by REPEATEDLY dissing ANYTHING I had to post here and on other forums. What did I do to start this - or did you just decide you'd enjoy dissing me for your own entertainment?

Re: Marketing help/advice

Bob,
If your memory is that short and some of us old folks have that problem, most forums have a search feature.

Re: Marketing help/advice

You seem to be missing 1 major point in business skills, the market does not want to purchase from you, and do not wish to be a part of your empire. It seems pretty evident. It seems that you are very similar to our current President and Mr. Bloomberg, you know what is best for everyone, and everyone else has no knowledge or understanding of how anything works.
