Lots testing new gun

Good morning,

Looks like the scope is resting on the barrel. Second picture depicts the flip-up lens cover resting on it.

A right bolt left port 360...

I am totally jealous. I called down to them a couple times and asked for one and got told to pound sand.

Could be your control of the Rifle ?
I say this because I have .22's on Chassis and find shooting Bench Groups a different Animal.
My little check or trigger movement change things Big Time.

Try SK Std. Plus not many Rifle that won't shot it..........
Best of Luck

Most would tell you not to bother lot testing until you have had 500 or more rounds down the barrel.

I would also recommend shooting/ seasoning the barrel with 15 -20 rounds of the same box before group testing.
Once you find the best ammo stay with it and only season the barrel after cleaning it.
This usually works on my guns.

You need to have the proper means of propulsion before you can test ammo in that rifle. You need a rear bag to rest the butt plate on. The rifle MUST be as completely motionless as possible. You will never obtain great results by attempting to hold it. Your target demonstrates your problem. All of the 'groups' are buckshot groups. Until you get the scope raised and obtaining rear sandbag, you will never realize success.

Matt, while I can't disagree with your post, I am not familiar with the PSL/NRL rules, which I presume this rifle was built for. This is not really a 'benchrest only sub-forum', but still at 50yds, I see nothing positive about the target posted even for the aforementioned disciplines.

Being a cut rifled barrel which I doubt is tapered lapped, I can agree. If it was a button rifled barrel that was tapered lapped, most would say your post is completely false. In fact, I know it would be false.

This guy won last weekend’s 100-150-200-250-300yard belly flop match @ North East TX Tactical. That barrel had over 100k rounds on it and some “less than awesome” scope. Mikey knows what he’s doing.

I appreciate you sharing these less than awesome results. It’ll come together, no doubt.
