Not happeningHopefully Capstone doesn't send a majority of Lapua/SK to whidden while denying Clint, Cathy and other retailers from their fair share of future shipments.

So, does this mean it will be shared among vendors equally? If not, how does capstone divide it up to vendors? Do they have preferred vendors then others? Not happening
I see.Capstone reserves the ammo the Lapua Test Centers test so there is nothing to divvy up. I suspect (don’t know so can’t say for sure), that Whiddens will not get ammo reserved in this manner. Maybe they can buy amounts from Capstone and do something similar on their own but I would be surprised if Capstone reserves any extra ammo just for them.
If you think this will be an alternative to the Lapua centers. remember this will be Eley's designated test center with other brands being secondary. also, the quantity they get for their inventory for Lapua currently will probably not change unless the current supply from Lapua increases.I see.
My dad's version of that quip is: "Some people would complain even if they were hung with a new rope..."Hang on Now!!! I kinda like me some hog guts with the s**t slung out of it!!!
I don't know Mr. Whidden...but I sure hope he makes a go of it.![]()
Yes Sir....that's the one I grew up with.My dad's version of that quip is: "Some people would complain even if they were hung with a new rope..."![]()
IMO just the fact that it will be closer to the main body of RFBR shooters. I believe he will have a lot of shooters going in person to test. The way it was with the old Eley test center here in Tejas, was that only Eley Tenex was tested and you had a a case minimum purchase to waive the testing fee. Not sure how John is going to do it. Congratulations to John and his team.

Old post but what’s the cost to have your rifle tested at the facility with Eley?ELEY are pleased to announce the selection of Whidden Gunworks as the official US Test Center.
The new center will boast capabilities for testing at both 50m and 100m in a controlled indoor environment as well as providing a lane for shooting out of the shoulder.
Uniquely, the center will be the only site in the US to offer testing of all the most recognized brands in one place. But, as a partner with ELEY, testing staff will be carefully trained to perform ELEY testing with our proven standards, test methodology, electronic targets and proprietary software.
Using the exacting formula developed at our UK test center, all ELEY batch testing begins with a minimum of 15 lots. During testing, 10 shots are fired from each lot and the most promising batches are identified. A further 30 shots are then fired from those selections. The resultant 40 shot group size is then consolidated and recorded by the ELEY software; making analyzing fast, simple and accurate.
Plans are in place to expand testing protocols to include rimfire pistol and air rifle and pistol pellet testing to support the ELEY tenex air line of pellets.
Still in the final stages of development, we are looking for a May opening. You can follow the development of the facility, check pricing and secure a test session by visiting www.whiddengunworks.com
